Requirements for admission to the Magister’s programme of Psychology for international students:

1. 1.       The person interested in studying at FF UPJŠ has to have their study completed in the Bachelor's study programme of Psychology, and the study passed shall correspond to the core of the description of the accredited Bachelor's degree study programme in Psychology in the Slovak Republic.

 

1. 2.       This pertains to the following core themes and skills of the study branch:

Themes of the core knowledge at the first level are mainly focused on the following key areas:

• · General Psychology
• · Cognitive Psychology
• · Developmental Psychology
• · Psychology of Personality
• · Psychopathology
• · Social Psychology
• · Neuropsychology
• · Diagnostics and Methodology:

-   Introduction to Methods (e.g. quantitative and qualitative research methods)

-   Essentials of Statistics

-   Theory and Essentials of Psychodiagnostics

 

Core themes of skills in the study branch (1stlevel)

• · Conducting Interviews
• · Structuring Measurement tools
• · Design and Implementation of Experiment and Research
• · Data Collection
• · Assessment Skills
• · Statistical Analysis of Data
• · Qualitative Analysis of Data

Terms and conditions of admission

The following documents, along with the application form, are required to be submitted in English or in any other language alongside with their official translation into Slovak or English:

 

• Duly completed form "Application for University Study"
• authenticated photocopy of the certificate and the diploma of graduation in an accredited Bachelor's degree program of Psychology
• record of studies from Bachelor´s degree (B.A.)
• medical certificate of the student´s aptitude to study
• a brief CV
• affidavit of the English language proficiency level B1
• 1 photo size 3.5 x 4.5 cm
• proof of payment for the admission procedure
