Conditions of admission

• completion of upper-secondary education or upper-secondary vocational education,

• medical certificate issued by a sports physician on the applicant's medical fitness to study a programme of study in the field of physical education (not older than 6 months from the date of the entrance examinations; the applicant must submit the certificate from the physiotherapist no later than 3 days before the date of the entrance examinations),

• successful completion of the entrance examination in physical prerequisites.

Conditions for international students

• completion of upper-secondary education or upper-secondary vocational education,

• medical certificate issued by a a sports physician on the applicant's medical fitness to study a programme of study in the field of physiotherapy (not older than 6 months from the date of the admission examinations; the applicant is obliged to deliver the certificate from the physiotherapist no later than 3 days before the date of the admission examinations),

• successful completion of the entrance examination in physical fitness,

In the case of foreign applicants, who have not passed or will not pass the matriculation examination in the subject of Slovak language and literature:

• submission of a certificate of proficiency in Slovak language as a foreign/second language at the level of at least B2 issued by language schools registered by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic in the Network of Schools and Educational Institutions of the Slovak Republic (registered state language schools and private language schools) or
• verification of linguistic competence to study a bachelor's degree programme in the Slovak language (written expression and reading literacy are assessed as part of the entrance examination).

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Participants in the Olympic Games, World Championships or European Championships in the two calendar years preceding the entrance examinations may be admitted without entrance examinations on presentation of a document certified by the relevant sports federation.

General information on the admission exam

The applicant shall take the following disciplines as part of the movement aptitude entrance examination:

• endurance (multi-stage) boat race over a distance of 20 m,
• distance long jump from standing,
• 100 m swimming crawl or breaststroke,
• gymnastics,
• choice of one of four sports (basketball, football, handball, volleyball).
