The graduate of the 2nd degree of the university study Musical Art in Combination can apply the acquired professional knowledge, practical skills and abilities in planning and implementation of the music-educational process - school, ZUŠ, interest and cultural-institutional. He/she has a general outlook, masters theoretical and practical skills so that he/she has mastered the study load of the content of the study programme of the 2nd degree according to the study plans in the prescribed compulsory, compulsory elective subjects for the programme of musical arts in combination, by achieving 120 credits.
Is eligible to be a teacher of music in lower secondary ISCED 2 of general education, both private and religious, in upper secondary ISCED 3 and 3A-SPgŠa conservatories, a teacher at a ZUŠ upon demonstration of a state examination in instrument playing or solo singing as part of an ensemble of the ZUŠ. upon attainment of the required experience, a teacher of continuing education. The graduate possesses knowledge of the musicological foundation and the discipline-specific didactic foundation, as well as the required musical skills in the full range of practical disciplines that built at the instrumental level after graduation from the Conservatory. Acquires the professional and pedagogical competence to plan, organize and lead the educational process in music education in all its forms existing in the system of general education and ZUŠ and ISCED-levels as well as in other forms of non-formal education. Its professional side has social, emotional and broad cultural dimensions. It is tolerant, solidary, empathetic, sensitive to cultural differences and to the needs of pupils. He is able to adapt music education curricula to local conditions and to make use of music pedagogical and music sociological research.

The basic condition for admission to study according to master's study programmes (second degree of higher education within the meaning of Section 53 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education) is the completion of the first degree study programme.
2)
A candidate may be admitted to a master's study programme without an entrance examination if the master's study programme is a continuation of a bachelor's study programme in the given field of study and the candidate has passed the state examination in subjects equivalent to the subjects of the state examination of the corresponding bachelor's study programme at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov.
Additional information
a) A candidate may submit multiple applications for studies at the Faculty of Arts PU, indicating one study programme on one application form;
b) Applicants shall pay the fee by bank transfer or postal money order U, the proof of payment shall be pasted on the 3rd page of the application form;
c) Applications without proof of fee payment will not be accepted;
d) Basic data required to make a cross-border transfer from abroad via SWIFT network: swift address of the bank: SPSRSKBA, account number of the payee or account number of the SP client in the format SK87 8180 0000 0070 0007 8205; name of the bank: State Treasury, ul. Radlinského 32, 010 05 Bratislava 15; unabbreviated name and address of the payee, the client of the SP. 17. novembra 1, 080 78 Prešov, purpose of payment: fee VS 10100041;
e) Candidates studying at the Faculty of Arts PU or graduates of bachelor studies at the Faculty of Arts PU do not fill in the statement of results of bachelor studies in individual semesters and do not submit a confirmation of the correctness of the data. A structured curriculum vitae shall be attached to the application form;
f) Applicants who have not completed their bachelor studies at the PU Faculty of Physical Education shall fill in the first and second pages of the application form thoroughly;
g) Applicants who have not completed their bachelor's studies at the PU Faculty of Physical Education shall submit a structured curriculum vitae and certified photocopies of documents certifying completion of studies (university diploma, state examination certificate, diploma supplement) with their application form. Officially uncertified photocopies will not be accepted;
h) Applicants who are completing their bachelor studies at a faculty other than the PU Faculty of Arts in 2025 shall attach to the application form a statement of the results of bachelor studies in individual semesters issued by the study department of the university (stamp and signature of the study department of the school/faculty);
i) Applicants for studies with specific needs: 1. Before applying for studies, they shall contact the faculty (or, in the case of university departments, the university) coordinator in order to be advised on the choice of the field of study and the scope of support services at PU; 2. provide the faculty (or, in the case of university departments, the university) coordinator with sufficient information about their limitations and needs, 3. contact the faculty coordinator well in advance (usually 1 month before the entrance examination) to ensure adequate conditions for the entrance examination. j) Candidates shall submit a medical certificate of medical fitness as part of the application form, which is available on the faculty's website;
k) The application for studies may also be submitted by an applicant who has not yet passed the Bachelor's State Examination for the type of study and cannot provide relevant data on the passing of the examination in the application form. Such an applicant shall submit proof of having passed this examination subsequently, at the latest by the deadline set by the faculty. If the applicant fails to submit this document, he/she may not be admitted to the study;
l) In the event that fewer candidates apply for a study programme than the minimum number set for that study programme, the dean may decide not to open the programme for a given academic year. The dean shall notify the applicants of this fact and invite them to change their study programme. If the applicant does not accept the offer, the faculty will refund the full admission fee;
m) The Faculty of Arts follows the internal regulation Principles of the Admission Procedure of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov, which was issued by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts in Prešov on 16 September 2009.
