Conditions of admission

Conditions for admission to study in the 1st cycle of studies (Bachelor's degree):

The basic condition for admission to the study is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education, including the matriculation examination.

Admission to the Bachelor's programme is without an entrance examination. All applicants who apply to study at FMEO PU are ranked in order of admission to the relevant study programme to which they have applied (there is always only one rank for each given study programme) and will be admitted on the basis of their results on the matriculation certificate and the position in the order of admission assigned on that basis, within the limits set by the teaching capacity of the faculty. The applicant's overall position in the final ranking is calculated based on a set algorithm, which is published on the Faculty's website (https://www.unipo.sk/fakulta-manazmentu/informacie/uchadzaci/).

Automatically (outside of the evaluation and ranking formulas of the algorithm) all applicants who:

will be admitted.

- have been enrolled as a standard* student and have achieved an arithmetic grade point average of less than 1.5 on the matriculation certificate at any secondary school;- were enrolled in studies and have taken the optional SCIO test (more at www.scio.cz) "General study prerequisites" (or Municipal study prerequisites), where they achieved an arithmetic average of percentiles equal to or higher than 50. Naturally, proof of completion of secondary education must also be provided.

In both of the above cases, if the applicant does not prove his/her grade in Slovak language on the basis of the matriculation examination (among applicants matriculating abroad), he/she can be admitted only after successful completion of the verification of language proficiency at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business of the PU in Prešov.

* Those applicants who have submitted their matriculation certificate in the admission procedure, in which specific grades for individual subjects are indicated and the name of the secondary school attended is also indicated, may be considered as standard applicants.
