Graduates of the first cycle of the study program Landscape Protection and Use have a thorough understanding of the interrelationships between the living and non-living components of natural ecosystems in the landscape (agroecosystems, forest ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems) and the anthropogenic components of landscape ecosystems (urban ecosystems, socioeconomic spheres). They are able to appropriately apply this knowledge in areas where a basic understanding of how landscape systems function is an essential prerequisite for addressing current issues related to landscape conservation and rational land use. The first-cycle program provides a foundation for continuing studies in the second cycle, which leads to the qualification of landscape engineer.
