Applied Analytic Chemistry
Graduates of the professionally oriented study programme Applied Analytical Chemistry have adequate theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical, general, inorganic, organic, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry, as well as mathematics, physics, biology and computer technology. They are able to carry out technical work independently in chemical, environmental, pharmaceutical as well as medical facilities. Thanks to the professionally oriented study programme, industry will obtain the necessary, practically proficient graduates who are familiar with the functioning of real employers, their requirements for knowledge, skills and the principles of professional ethics. Graduates will also be able to acquire, process and present scientific information.
Graduates of the study programme have the prerequisites:
to apply primarily in cooperating organisations, in which professional practice has been carried out, as trained employees, which they need for the performance of work in the laboratory,
to apply in various chemical, pharmaceutical, medical, environmental research and operational facilities and to perform more demanding work of a technical nature, work with instrumental analytical equipment,

The basic condition for admission to the bachelor's programme is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education (§ 56 (1)). 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts).
The admission procedure takes place without an entrance examination.
For the admission of an applicant to the Bachelor's study programme, the data on the course of studies at secondary school will be decisive.
In determining the score, the following is taken into account at the same time:
- the study average at secondary school without the matriculation examination,
- the result of the matriculation examination.
Students who have completed their studies at foreign universities, foreign students, shall submit nostrified documents on completed studies in accordance with Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the Recognition of Documents on Education and on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts.

The application form must include:
- CV,
- proof of payment of the admission fee,
- high school report cards for 1-4. Officially certified (registrar/notary)
- School leaving certificate officially certified (registrar/notary)
An applicant who is graduating in the school year 2025/2026 shall list the grades from the end-of-year certificates for the 1st-3rd year on the application form (in case of a five-year course of study, he/she shall list the grades for the 2nd-3rd year of study).-4th year), which he/she has the secondary school confirm in the application form, or he/she submits the officially certified (by the registry office/notary) said certificates in the application form.
The applicant shall deliver the certificate from the 4th year (5th year) and the matriculation certificate officially certified (by the registry office/notary) no later than 14.12.2015.
The applicant who graduated before the school year 2025/2026 writes down the grades from the end-of-year certificates for 1st-4th year (in case of five-year studies, he/she writes down the grades for 2nd-5th year) and the graduation certificate in the application form.

Conditions for international students
Admission conditions for foreign students are the same as for applicants from the Slovak Republic. The condition of admission of foreign applicants to the study programme conducted in Slovak language is the knowledge of Slovak language at the level enabling study in Slovak language. Foreign applicants prove their knowledge of the language with a Certificate of Slovak language proficiency at the B2 level.
An applicant who is graduating or has graduated from a secondary school abroad is obliged to apply for the equivalent of the documents according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic.
