MASTER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION combined The graduate of the Master's degree knows, possesses and masters broad-spectrum primary and secondary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of physical and sport education, recreational physical education, health physical education as well as sport with innovative-modern directions and tendencies, which contribute to the formation of personal competences of the graduate with interdisciplinary professional-subject, social-scientific (psychological-pedagogical-social), information-communication-technological (ICT), legislative-legal, communicative character. He is prepared to hold positions in the field of development of physical education and sport for all at the municipal, regional and communal levels of government. A graduate of the Master's degree programme in Physical Education Teaching is qualified to exercise independently the profession of a teacher at the lower and upper secondary education level. He/she is able to design, implement and reflect on educational activities within his/her subject specialisation. Has knowledge and experience in research methodology in educational sciences in general and in the didactics of his/her subject specialisation. Can independently organize, lead and analyze the physical education and educational process, plan and manage the training of recreational athletes, children and youth. The completed education qualifies him to work in the physical education movement in the positions of instructor, youth coach, organizer and manager of school recreational and cultural facilities. He is qualified to establish and operate trades and companies with a focus on business, management and managerial activities in sports, physical education and recreational facilities. Special Education and Pedagogy for the Intellectually Disabled
An oral admission interview is held for applicants in the Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped program who had an overall grade of D or E on the state final examination at the undergraduate level of study. It focuses on an overview of Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped within the scope of the theses of the final examinations of the Bachelor's degree. In the case of a state final examination with a thesis defence in the A-C grade range, the student does not take the given admission interview.

Admission Examinations (other degree programmes)
An entrance examination must be taken by all applicants who, during their undergraduate studies, had an overall grade of "E - satisfactory" on the State Final Examination for the Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.).
Content of the entrance examinations for individual study programmes
- Economics and Business Management - oral admission interview in selected areas of economics and management,
- Teaching Geography (Combined) - written test which will include questions on physical and human geography,
- Teaching for Primary Education - a written test aimed at ascertaining the candidate's level of knowledge in: Slovak language and literature (linguistic and literary literacy - within the scope of the PEP bachelor's degree) and mathematics (basics of arithmetic, geometry and logic - within the scope of the PEP bachelor's degree),
- Computer Science Teacher Training- oral admission interview consisting of selected areas of computer science within the scope of the theses for the BC. state exam in computer science and building a program in Python,
- Biology Teaching (Combined) - admission interview, in which the prerequisites for the Master's degree will be verified, focusing on a professional general overview of Biology within the scope of the Biology Teaching Combined Level I and the pedagogical prerequisites for the teaching profession,
- Teaching Religious Education (combined)- a written test within the scope of the theses for the Bachelor's State Examination in Teaching Religious Education (combined) in the areas of Biblical Theology, History of the Church, Moral Theology and Systematic Theology. Successful completion of the admission procedure is conditional on successfully answering the questions in the test with a minimum score of 60%,
- Physical Education Teaching - oral examination in the theory and didactics of physical education,
- Social Work - the subject of the examination is the content of the courses Social Policy, Theories of Social Work, Client Groups in Social Work and Fundamentals of Methodology and Statistics in Social Work,
- Mathematics Teaching (Combined) - an oral admissions interview focused on a survey of mathematics within the scope of the theses of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Combined, during which the prerequisites for the Master's Degree will be verified.
- Teaching Chemistry (combined) - an oral admission interview focused on an overview of the profile subjects of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry combined, and verification of the applicant's teaching competence.

Talent Examination of Art Education consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. Candidates demonstrate theoretical knowledge in the art history exam, which focuses on historical or contemporary issues in the visual arts. The practical exam consists of active creative work, which is carried out in each studio, i.e. the studio of intermedia, design and craft, surface art disciplines, spatial art disciplines. The candidate will take a practical examination on a topic that is announced at the time of the entrance examination. The practical examination includes a presentation of a portfolio from each art studio.
The ranking of candidates will be based on the following rules:
- The ranking of the candidates for the study will be made according to the academic results achieved in the Bachelor's degree (average of the state examination).

Information about the admission procedure
If an applicant wishes to apply for more than one study programme, he/she must apply for each study programme separately.
The application must be accompanied by:
- CV;
- a certified copy of the diploma and the certificate from the bachelor's studies;
- proof of payment of the fee. Without proof of payment, the application will not be registered. The admission fee is non-refundable! If, after being asked to complete the missing parts of the application form, the applicant fails to complete the required parts of the application form within the specified time limit, his/her application will be considered invalid.
- the applicant for the study programme Teaching for Primary Education shall submit a medical certificate of the ability to undergo physical education without limitations and a certificate from a speech therapy examination on correct pronunciation and the absence of any kind of impaired communication skills;
- the applicant for the Physical Education Teacher Training programme shall also submit a medical certificate of medical fitness;
- an applicant for the study programme Special Education and Education of the Mentally Disabled shall submit with his/her application for studies a confirmation from a speech therapy examination of correct pronunciation and absence of any kind of impaired communication ability;

- Applicants who require specific conditions for medical reasons are advised to contact the KU Counselling Centre (poradna@ku.sk) in order to obtain qualified information about the demands and conditions of study well in advance of their application for undergraduate studies;
- in the case of applicants who have obtained their first degree abroad, a decision on the recognition of the foreign document of education for academic purposes (more information on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic: https://www.minedu.sk in the section Recognition of documents of education)
- If a foreign applicant [1] in the matriculation examination did not pass the examination from the Slovak language is obliged to demonstrate knowledge of the Slovak language min. A2 level by a certificate proving the level of proficiency in the Slovak language (hereinafter referred to as the "certificate") or a certificate of completion of a Slovak language course (hereinafter referred to as the "certificate"). The certificate or confirmation of the foreign student's language level in the Slovak language should be issued by a Slovak language school which is registered in the network of schools and educational establishments of the Slovak Republic or by a university in the Slovak Republic which organises or carries out language or vocational training for studies at the university. The candidate shall submit the matriculation certificate, certificate or confirmation to the PF KU by the date of receipt of the decision on admission to study, or as part of the application for study to the PF KU. If the applicant does not submit the matriculation certificate, certificate or confirmation by this date, he/she will undergo an admission procedure in the Slovak language and must achieve a minimum language proficiency level of A2 in the Slovak language in this examination. An applicant from abroad - A graduate of a university study programme in the Slovak language does not need to submit certificates on the level of proficiency in the Slovak language.
Confirmation of application registration and information about the further process in the admission procedure will be sent to applicants in writing. In case of a low number of applicants for the study of teaching in one of the subject combinations, the faculty will propose applicants to study in other combinations.

Students with specific needs are advised to contact the KU Counselling Centre (poradna@ku.sk) in order to obtain qualified information about the demands and conditions of study well in advance of applying for university studies.
A candidate for the academic/educational/arts teaching course may choose any combination of the two of the above subjects.
The above subjects can be combined with a subject taught at the KU Faculty of Arts (www.ff.ku.sk).
GENERAL Admission Requirements:
- for the study programme Teaching for Primary Education, the basic condition of admission is the completion of a Bachelor's degree in the study programme Preschool and Elementary Education;- for the study programme Teaching of Physical Education (single subject/combined), the basic condition of admission is the completion of the same Bachelor's/Master's degree programme; in the case of related study programmes, the applicant will take the admission examination (see section Admission Examinations)
- graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes in Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped, Special Education combined with Counselling, Special Education combined with Specialisation, as well as graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes in Preschool and Elementary Education and Therapeutic Pedagogy may apply for the study programme Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped;
- graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped may apply for the study programme Special Education and Pedagogy of the Mentally Handicapped
- other study programmes completion of the same or related Bachelor's/Master's degree programme
- commitment to respect the Catholic spirit of the university and the faculty;
- for teaching degree programs in art education, music education, and musical arts (piano, organ, or solo voice concentration), successful completion of the talent exam (see talent exam section) is also a requirement;
- other study programmes - without talent test;
- those applicants who best meet the established admission requirements will be admitted to the study.
