Applied Mathematics (AMAT)
The study programme is focused on scientific methods of research in the field of applied mathematics, on the development of new methods and improvement of existing methods of modelling real processes and prediction of their development. The study programme also includes the development of software tools for the creation of models and their subsequent verification, as well as the application of the proposed models and the created software tools to real data from various engineering, technological and economic processes.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate will be able to independently solve quantitatively formulated problems of technical practice both at the theoretical and at the implementation level, using the latest mathematical-engineering software (ANSYS, MATHEMATICA, STATGRAPHICS, etc.). In his/her narrower area of specialisation, he/she will have a detailed overview of the latest developments in the specialisation and will contribute to the in-depth development of theory in the field.
