Environmental Protection and Ecotechnologies of Raw Materials

A graduate of the study programme possesses knowledge of scientific research and development methods in the field of extraction and processing of Earth resources (modelling of mineral processing processes, design of mineral processing technologies, methods of spectral analysis). They understand the physical and chemical principles of the processes applied within their specialization and their impact on the complexity and demands of the technologies used. The graduate is able to formulate and develop new hypotheses, judgments, and strategies for further research and development of the field of study and the study programme. They apply the results of their theoretical analyses and comprehensive scientific research to solving problems in this area. Based on the obtained outputs, they are able to propose, verify, and implement new research and working procedures. The selected methods are applied in the search for innovative technologies, including bio- and nanotechnologies. Graduates of the study programme are capable of employment in organizations focused on monitoring and evaluating the state of the environment, waste management issues, and environmental impact assessment. Employment opportunities exist in both the public and private sectors, including state administration, local self-government related to environmental protection, industrial enterprises involved in raw material processing, various environmental organizations, and scientific institutions.
