Information Management
Graduates of the study programme Information Management in the Master´s degree have comprehensive knowledge, skills and competences in selected areas of economics, management, marketing and information technology, which they can apply in practice. They are professionally competent to identify, analyse and evaluate existing problems in the organisation as well as in the relevant market in which the organisation operates. They are able to methodologically analyse the environment in the organisation correctly and can subsequently work with the acquired information in the framework of strategic, tactical and operational management and marketing. The graduate can identify possible threats and risks in the organisation and subsequently find appropriate solutions.They are able to navigate in individual managerial, economic and marketing processes, can evaluate and predict possible situations in the internal and external environment of the organization from a managerial as well as economic point of view. They possess knowledge in the field of analysis, development and implementation of corporate strategies, plans at different levels of management of the organization. Can actively work with modern enterprise IS/ICT in processing and evaluating data, can use IS/ICT to organize, plan, control and lead the employees of the organization. They gained knowledge of human resource management, which can be applied in guiding and motivating employees of the organization. The graduate thinks independently and critically and can adapt to current trends. Graduates' employability focuses on middle management positions in organizations such as project, process, product manager, team leader or personnel manager. Later on graduates can be successful at the positions in senior management.

The key admission requirement is to obtain a Bachelor´s degree (in accordance with the Higher Education Act 131/2002 Coll. as amended) in the same or similar field of study.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants for study are admitted on the basis of relevant interstate agreements or, if they study in a language other than the state (Slovak) language, they pay tuition fees according to the conditions set out in Section 92(8) of the Higher Education Act. Tuition fees are set by a UNIZA directive and published for the relevant academic year on the University's website. Foreign applicants (except applicants from the Czech Republic) who wish to study in the state language are required to successfully pass a language test in Slovak language with the achievement of at least B1 level.The language test in Slovak language must be passed no later than by the deadline of the admission procedure - 28.5.2026, while a foreign applicant may pass it only once in the calendar year of the admission procedure. Successful completion of the language test is a condition for admission to the study. Applicants from the Czech Republic may use the form valid in the Czech Republic to apply for studies.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Prospective students, who have successfully passed the required subjects during the Bachelor´s studies (or their equivalent), can apply for recognition in the subjects. The wrriten application addressed to the dean is a part of the e-application and can be found on our website.

After the application deadline, the faculty sends the applicant an invitation to the entrance examination, which, in addition to information about the course of the entrance examination, also includes the number of the room in which the examination will be taken. After registration, the applicant shall take a test in the subjects prescribed for the given engineering study programme within a specified time limit. The results are published on the same day of the entrance examination on the website http://vzdelavanie.uniza.sk/prijimacky/. Applicants can access their results by entering their surname and identification code. A written decision on the result will be sent to the applicant by the Dean of the Faculty by 31 July 2026.
Students who are unsuccessful in the entrance examination may be admitted to the three-year engineering conversion program. Applicants are admitted to conversion three-year engineering degree programmes without an entrance examination on the basis of the weighted average of their undergraduate studies.
