Geotourism

The study programme provides graduates with a specific professional profile and comprehensive, high-quality knowledge enabling them to apply a multidisciplinary approach, with the prerequisites for the successful and effective development and management of geotourism and mining tourism. This includes the identification, characterization, evaluation, interpretation, presentation, and promotion of geological, mining, and related cultural and historical heritage for the purpose of sustainable tourism development. Graduates may find employment as qualified managers in various functional management units in the public or private sector, or work as professional specialists in dedicated units (either independently or as part of a larger team), such as geoparks, administrations of protected areas (national parks and protected landscape areas), or enterprises providing tourism-related services. The cross-cutting nature of geotourism also allows graduates to be employed in other industrial sectors, including the economic and social spheres.
