Geodesy and Cartography

Acquisition of professional education in the field of geodesy, cartography and cadastre with orientation on building reference systems, collection of spatial data for state mapping works, cadastre of real estate, creation of digital terrain models, delineation of construction objects and advancement to the engineering degree of study.

The professional profile of the graduate of the Bachelor degree is a result of 6‐semester studies. Graduates will acquire complete university education of the first degree by taking subjects creating a theoretical, professional and technical and application base of studies. The theoretical base of the graduates is created by studying sciences - mathematics, physics and geology followed up by disciplines of professional theoretical character - geodesy, mathematical geodesy, processing and analysis of measurements, spheric astronomy and cosmic geodesy and physical geodesy. The core of studies consists of Mastering disciplines of technical and application nature, including local geodetic networks, Enginineering geodesy, photogrammetry, geoinformatics, topography, cartographic creation and reproduction, land adjustments, land mapping and cadastre of real estate. Profile of graduates is complemented by subject areas of sanitary Enginineering and water management Enginineering and group of social sciences - history of civil Enginineering and geodesy and law. Graduates find realisation in all areas of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, state and investment organisations, as well as bodies of state administration and business sector. Graduates are prepared to continue to study in the Enginineering programme of Geodesy and Cartography.
