Teaching of History and Teaching of Geography
Alternatívny názov: Teaching of History and Teaching of Geography
Teaching of History
Graduates complete a full first-cycle university education, enabling them to either pursue further studies (second-cycle university education) or enter the workforce.
Based on the knowledge and skills acquired, graduates of the combined History Teaching study program (first cycle) are prepared to work as qualified professionals—particularly in museums, memorial sites, and galleries—as well as to serve as teaching assistants or educators specializing in extracurricular activities for children.
Teaching of Geography
Graduates of the Geography Teaching study program (in combination) are primarily prepared to successfully continue their studies at the second level of higher education. They are well-versed in the field of geography—its structure and content—and possess an overview of the broader contexts of education and instruction, as well as the didactics of geography; they have also mastered information literacy. Graduates have a solid command of the theoretical and practical foundations of various physical, human, and regional geography disciplines and understand the interrelationships and processes occurring within the landscape sphere. They possess the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to employ modern research methods regarding the abiotic and biotic components of the physical-geographic and human-geographic spheres, as well as the impact of human activity on the landscape. Graduates understand the natural and anthropogenic processes that shape the landscape sphere.
