English for Translation in the Business Sector

Alternatívny názov: English for Translation in the Business Sector

Prospects of graduates
Graduates of the first-cycle study program "English for Translation in Business Practice" have mastered the methodology of translation and interpreting involving the English language and intercultural communication, and possess interdisciplinary knowledge of economic theory, corporate economics and finance, management, and marketing. They possess a broad theoretical and methodological foundation regarding the language—including its grammar, lexicology, and the theory, history, and evolution of translation—as well as the cultural context of English-speaking countries; they are able to apply this knowledge to facilitate business communication in both written and spoken forms, across formal and informal contexts. As translators of specialized business texts, they can find employment not only in the translation market and general business practice but also in multinational companies where English serves as the language of communication.
