European Governance and Politics
The aim of the doctoral study program in European Governance and Politics is to develop and deepen students' knowledge and ability to apply theoretical and methodological approaches to topics such as European integration, current developments in international relations, research into political behavior, issues of equality, justice, and inclusion, institutional settings, multi-level governance systems, behavioral interventions, and the formation, application, and comparison of national sectoral policies.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates of the third level of the European Governance and Policy program will be top experts in the field of European policy research, with an emphasis on developing their specialization as a scientific discipline. The fundamental objective of the PhD program is to shape a new generation of professionally prepared and creative researchers in the field of multidisciplinary reflection on European integration in the context of international developments. The study includes the individual contribution of the doctoral student to the development of the theoretical foundations of new European policy, the creative definition of the problems of the European system of common affairs management, the specific processes of policy-making and implementation by European institutions, and the analysis of programs and their impact in practice. Graduates of the PhD program contribute to the development of the theoretical foundations of the field of political science.
