Environmental Protection and Recovery
The graduates of the study programme Environmental Protection and Restoration have the prerequisites:
- to apply in various environmental and remediation facilities of control, operational and research focus and to perform more demanding work, especially of a technical nature (e.g.
- to apply in state and public administration as a worker in the field of environmental informatics and environmental legislation (e.g. in various municipal or hazardous waste treatment plants, in wastewater treatment plants, in the workplaces of the Slovak Environmental Inspection, in the workplaces of the Public Health Office)
- to apply in consulting activities in environmental issues for a wide range of entrepreneurs and companies, including in the field of waste treatment and disposal, respectively.
- will be able to adapt quickly and effectively to the specific requirements of practice, to organize their further education and personal growth.
The graduation of the study programme will allow a fresh graduate of the bachelor's degree to be able to be adequately employed immediately after graduation, but at the same time to have the widest possible opportunities to continue their studies at the 2nd level of the Bachelor's degree.

The basic condition for admission to the bachelor's programme is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education (§ 56 (1)). 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts).
The admission procedure takes place without an entrance examination.
For the admission of an applicant to the Bachelor's study programme, the data on the course of studies at secondary school will be decisive.
In determining the score, the following is taken into account at the same time:
- the study average at secondary school without the matriculation examination,
- the result of the matriculation examination.
Students who have completed their studies at foreign universities, foreign students, shall submit nostrified documents on completed studies in accordance with Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the Recognition of Documents on Education and on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts.
Additional information
The application form must include:
- CV,
- proof of payment of the admission fee,
- high school report cards for 1-4. Officially certified (registrar/notary)
- School leaving certificate officially certified (registrar/notary)
An applicant who is graduating in the school year 2025/2026 shall list the grades from the end-of-year certificates for the 1st-3rd year on the application form (in case of a five-year course of study, he/she shall list the grades for the 2nd-3rd year of study).-4th year), which he/she has the secondary school confirm in the application form, or he/she submits the officially certified (by the registry office/notary) certificates in the application form.
The 4th year (5th year) certificate and the matriculation certificate officially certified (by the registry office/notary) shall be delivered to the applicant no later than by 14.12.2015.June 2026 to the faculty.
The applicant who graduated before the school year 2025/2026 writes down the grades from the end-of-year certificates for the 1st-4th year (in case of five-year studies, he/she writes down the grades for the 2nd-5th year) and the graduation certificate in the application form.

Conditions for international students
Admission conditions for foreign students are the same as for applicants from the Slovak Republic. The condition of admission of foreign applicants to the study programme conducted in Slovak language is the knowledge of Slovak language at the level enabling study in Slovak language. Foreign applicants prove their knowledge of the language with a Certificate of Slovak language proficiency at the B2 level.
An applicant who is graduating or has graduated from a secondary school abroad is obliged to apply for the equivalent of the documents according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic.
