The graduate of Teaching and Educational Sciences (B.Sc.) is prepared so that he/she can successfully continue his/her studies in this field at the 2nd level of higher education. He/she is oriented in the field of his/her subject specialisation, in its construction, has insight into the broader context of education and education and has acquired information literacy. He/she is also able to orient himself/herself in the organisational conditions of institutional education, and is therefore able to operate in particular in the supportive components of institutional education.



Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the study programme of teaching Rusyn language and literature of the 1st degree can work as teaching assistants for the 2nd degree of primary schools and for secondary schools (conversation in Rusyn language, etc.), as professional employees in the field of Rusyn studies, in cultural and social organisations as cultural and advisory or methodological and professional employees (Rusyn Revival, A. Rusyn, InfoRusyn - Narodny novynky, InfoRusyn; internet radio Rusyn FM; Rusyn broadcasts of Slovak Radio and Slovak Television) and in specialised state administration bodies as specialists on nationality issues with an accent on the Rusyn national minority. The graduate will obtain a first degree in teaching and pedagogical sciences with an orientation on Rusyn language, literature and culture.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

The basic condition for admission to the bachelor's programme is the acquisition of a complete general secondary education or a complete vocational secondary education. For all of the above programmes of study in the first stage of study in the field of teaching and educational sciences, applicants will be assessed without personal participation on the basis of an assessment of their secondary school results.

Note: For study programmes that can be studied in combination, the requirements and dates of admission examinations of the PU faculties that provide the respective accredited programme apply.

If the number of applicants exceeds the expected number of admitted applicants, preference will be given to applicants with a better academic average.

General information about the admission procedure

a) Only one programme of study per application form is allowed;

b) Applicants shall fill in the first 3 pages of the application form carefully, sign the application form and attach their CV and proof of payment as part of the application form;

c) applicants with specific needs shall contact the University Coordinator Mgr. Žolnová Jarmila, Ph.D., univer. doc.

d) an applicant who takes the final examination after the deadline for applications for studies at the University shall deliver, together with his/her application for studies, certified copies of the end-of-year report cards from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year and the mid-year report card from the 4th year (in the case of 4-year studies), respectively. copies of the end-of-year report cards from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year and the half-year report card from the 5th year (in the case of 5-year studies), and after passing the matriculation examination sends a certified copy of the matriculation examination certificate to the Centre for Languages and Cultures of National Minorities of the University of Gdańsk;

e) an applicant who has passed the matriculation examination in the previous period shall deliver, together with the application for studies, officially certified copies of all end-of-year certificates, a certified copy of the matriculation examination certificate, a curriculum vitae and enclose a proof of payment.

f) applicants with a matriculation examination obtained at a foreign secondary school shall also deliver an officially certified copy of the document of obtaining a complete secondary education abroad - an official translation into the Slovak language by a Slovak translator and notary, document of recognition of the degree of foreign education, digital verification of the authenticity of the education document, recognised school in the country of origin (information from clause 7 and 8 of the clause) and authenticity affidavit of documents;

(g) the basic information required to effect a cross-border transfer from abroad:SWIFT: SPSRSKBA, payee's account number in IBAN format: SK59 8180 0000 0070 0046 9134; bank name: Štátna pokladnica, Ul. Radlinského 32, 810 05 Bratislava; unabbreviated name and address of the payee, the client of the SP. 17. novembra 15, 080 01 Prešov; purpose of payment: fee VS 184201.
