Prospects of graduates
Graduates of the Public Administration study program can successfully apply as professionals in various departments of organizational structures in terms of public administration, in entities dealing mainly with local and regional development, as well as in other public institutions (corporations). Graduates of the Public Administration study program in the first degree of higher education studies within the field of study 8. Economics and Management based on the acquired knowledge, skills and competences are eligible to perform professions such as:

- Regional Government General Internal Administration Specialist (SKKR Level 6),
- Professional Budget Officer (SKKR Level 6),
- Specialist in economic management and maintenance of assets (SKKR level 6),
- Public Administration Specialist in Assets Management (SKKR Level 6),
- Regional and Rural Development Specialist (SKKR Level 6).

Important announcement:
In agreement with the Act 131/2002 Coll. on universities and on amendment of certain acts, the standard length of study for students enrolled in the study programme in the academic year 2023/2024 until the first year of study in part-time form of study, is changed to three years.

Conditions of admission
Full secondary or full vocational secondary education

Additional information
  • The admission procedure starts with the registration of the application to study in the AIS. The application must be registered in the Academic Information System (AIS) by the deadline as set by the faculty.
  • The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Relations shall appoint a board for the admission procedure, consisting of a chairman and its members. The Dean shall decide on the admission to study based on the recommendations made by the board members.
  • Unsuccessful applicants may submit a request for the decision to be reviewed to the Dean within eight days from its delivery.
  • Applicants who received a decision on admission are required to enrol to the programme of study as instructed in writing.
  • Pursuant to the Act No.131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education, as amended, § 59 (3), the faculties have the right to request information from admitted applicants whether they will enrol for studies. Shall applicants fail to provide the information by the deadline, their right to enrol shall lapse.

Extended deadlines will be decided by the Dean.

Tuition fees
In line with the applicable Directive on tuition fees and other fees associated with studies at TnUAD, tuition fees will be charged to part-time students, those full-time students who are simultaneously studying at another institution of higher education and/or students who have exceeded the standard duration of their study.

Admission procedure
There is no entrance examination. The admission procedure is based on a selection procedure.
The best applicants will be admitted in the order of the results of the selection procedure. The results of the selection procedure shall be calculated as the sum of the points obtained for the average secondary school grade and the points obtained for each type of secondary school. The secondary school average is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the marks on the end-of-year school reports for years 1 to 3 of secondary school. (see Annex).

General information on the admission exam
There is no entrance examination. The admission procedure is based on a selection procedure. The maximum score in the admission procedure for the Bachelor study (A+B) is 200. The minimum score for admission is 60.

(A) Secondary school grade point averages:

(B) Point allocation for the secondary school completion:
Points to be allocated for the completion of the following types of secondary schools:
gymnázium: 100 bodov
secondary technical schools (with school leaving examinations): 70 points
secondary vocational schools (with school leaving examinations): 30 points

Electronic application form
The application is made via https://e-prihlaska.tnuni.sk.
An e-application is registered in the Academic Information System only with a "uložená" (saved) status. Successful applicant's registration in the academic information system can be checked in the e-application, application status: “preklopená” (flipped).

If the admission fee is not paid in the e-application form within 8 days of the "preklopená" application status, the applicant shall ask the Chief Accountant to check the payment: maria.suletyova@tnuni.sk.
Applicants who do not pay the admission fee and/or do not submit mandatory annexes with their application forms will not undergo the selection procedure, i.e. will not receive the decision on admission to study.

Mandatory annexes for graduates of Slovak/Czech secondary schools:
There is no need to send the completed and printed e-application form to the Department of Student Affairs.
  • If you fill in the subject grades in the e-application form from your electronic student books, do not send photocopies of your report cards for grades 1 - 3 by post.
  • If you do not fill in the subject grades from your electronic student books, you can attach the report cards for years 1 - 3 to the e-application form or send photocopies by post.
  • Copy of the school leaving certificate certified by a notary shall be sent by post immediately after submitting the e-application form.This year's graduates shall submit a certified copy of their school-leaving certificate as soon as they receive it. The latest deadline is the enrolment date.


Mandatory annexes for graduates of foreign secondary schools:
There is no need to send the completed and printed e-application form to the Department of Student Affairs. It is required to:
  • send notarised copies of end-of-year report cards from the last 3 years of secondary school in official Slovak translation. The copies can be attached to the e-application or sent by post.
  • submit a decision on the recognition of the secondary school diploma (issued by the Regional Office of School Administration) at the latest on the day of enrolment.


Mandatory annexes for graduates of foreign secondary schools with a granted asylum:
In the case of persons who have been granted asylum, subsidiary protection or temporary refuge, they shall send by post together with the application form printed from the system, the following mandatory annexes (in line with Article 8(2) of the Study Rules and Regulations):
  • an affidavit of completed secondary education.
  • the result of a general aptitude test. The procedure for taking the general aptitude test can be found on: https://www.scio.sk/nps/terminy-a-miesta.asp. Applicants whose test percentile is equal to or higher than 30 will receive an overall score of 60 points.
  • A copy of the document granting asylum, subsidiary protection or temporary refuge.


Mandatory annexes for graduates with special needs:
  • Applicants with special needs, in case of interest and need, shall attach a request to the coordinator for work with students with special needs to consider their specific needs in line with the Directive for applicants and students with special needs at A. Dubček University of Trenčín.

Billing information
Invoice data to pay the admission procedure fee will be generated automatically in the form of a bank order after submitting the e-application, which can be found on https://e-prihlaska.tnuni.sk/ais/eprihlas.

If the admission procedure fee is not registered in the e-application within 8 days of payment, applicants shall send a copy of payment to the head of the accounting office to: maria.suletyova@tnuni.sk.
