Prospects of graduates
Third level of higher education study in the discipline of „Mechanical Engineering Technologies and Materials“ deepens and extends theoretical knowledge of technological fields in the area of metallurgy, progressive technologies, metal cutting and non-cutting, automation of technological processes and possibilities of their application in mechanical engineering companies, while considering qualitative, technological-economic and ecological aspects.

Graduates of Doctoral studies can work at research and development offices and units of production facilities, top managerial positions, management of production units with sophisticated production technology, institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and at technological universities and colleges. They are able to find work in counselling firms and organisations that require advanced education in technological disciplines. Graduates will be able to manage scientific and technological production centres for defence, manufacturing and automotive technology.

Completed engineering studies in the same or a related field of study and fulfillment of the conditions of the admission procedure for III. degree.
Applicants are selected on the basis of the results of the admission interview before the admissions committee according to the applicants' proven knowledge of the field of study, as well as the applicant's ability to explain to the admissions committee the content, methods, structure and expected results of the selected dissertation.
Part of the job interview is a presentation of the written work prepared by the applicant on a selected topic of the dissertation and scientific discussion.
During the job interview, the applicant's language skills in the chosen world language are also assessed.

The Dean of FŠT TnUAD appoints a selection committee, which will consist of the chairman and members of the commission. This will then verify the fulfillment of the conditions of the applicants.
The dean of the faculty decides on admission to study on the basis of a decision of the selection committee. An applicant who has received a decision not to be admitted to study may, within eight days from the date of delivery, submit a request to the dean of the faculty for review of the decision.
An applicant who has received an admission decision is obliged to enroll according to the instructions that he / she will receive in writing together with the decision on admission to study.
The applicant may submit only one application to FŠT TnUAD.
The applicant has the opportunity to check for himself whether his application is registered on the basis of information published on www.fst.tnuni.sk in the APPLICANTS section registration of the application in the Academic Information System.

The admission conditions for foreign students are identical to the admission conditions for Slovak students.

The faculty prefers to submit the application via https://e-prihlaska.tnuni.sk. It is not necessary to print the completed and confirmed e-application and send it to the study department of the faculty. The applicant will send only the mandatory annexes to the application:
Mandatory annexes to the application:
• graduates of other universities (does not apply to graduates of FŠT TnUAD in Trenčín): officially certified copies of documents on the completion of engineering studies (diploma, state examination certificate and diploma supplement),
• Proof of recognition of Ing. Applicants will submit their education at a foreign university no later than on the day of the admission interview (for graduates from the Czech Republic, the documents are automatically recognized as equivalent without further official procedure).
An e-application with only the status of the application "saved" is registered in the Academic Information System.
In the event that the fee for the admission procedure is not paid in the e-application within 8 days from the status of the application: "flipped", the applicant will send a document to verify the payment made to the head of the accounting office by e-mail: maria.suletyova@tnuni.sk.
