Characteristics

Graduates of the study program have a complex combination of multiple knowledge in the field of robotics and robot technology. The graduate is able to coordinate development teams in the implementation of robotic cells in production organizations. The graduate is also able to deploy robotic devices in production cells, including the necessary peripheral devices and demonstrate functions and characteristics on a virtual 3D model, taking into account the requirements of Industry 4.0. The graduate is able to understand the problems related to the implementation of artificial intelligence in robotic systems.

Aims of education

A graduate of the engineering degree, studying robotics and robot technology, can apply the acquired knowledge in engineering informatics, automation and robotics. He knows the principles and constructions of machinery and systems characterized by high functional, movement and manipulation capabilities with high mechanical precision. The graduate can analyze principles, functions and use industrial and service robots for defined tasks. Knows the types, properties, characteristics and controls the programming of common types of industrial and service robots.

Learning Outcomes

The graduate has the skills to design, construct, project, program automated and robotic workplaces. Understands and applies modern automation and computer technology with the application of elements of artificial intelligence. He is able to solve engineering tasks associated with complex system design, testing, production and operation of robotic systems, controlled by computer, usually distributed systems. The graduate is able to analyze, design and program large-scale technical solutions involving robotics. Has the knowledge to implement tasks related to robotics independently or in multidisciplinary teams. It is also able to be implemented as a system integrator of automation technology. The graduate is able to use his communication skills for application in management and operational functions.

Conditions of admission

Basic conditions for admission to the study programme of degree II pursuant to Section 53(1) of Act No.131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts are higher education of degree I or higher education of degree II, while the sum of the number of credits obtained for the completed education and the number of credits required for the completion of the study programme for which the applicant is applying must be at least 300 credits. For applicants who have obtained the required education abroad, recognition of evidence of educational attainment in accordance with a generally binding regulation issued by the Ministry is a condition of admission to the study programme.

The application form shall be submitted in electronic form - e-application.

No doctor's note is required with the application form.

Application fee for applicants in Slovak language: 20 €
Application fee for applicants in English language: 50 €
The method of payment of the fee is by bank transfer.
