Conditions of admission

• graduation from the bachelor's degree in the field of study of teaching and pedagogical sciences in the study programme of pre-school and elementary pedagogy, respectively pre-school and elementary pedagogy and pedagogy of the psychosocially disturbed,
• certification of medical fitness for university studies,
• delivery of a printed and signed application form submitted electronically.

Conditions for international students

Acceptance is subject to the submission of proof of completion of the bachelor's degree programme. The documents must be officially certified and submitted to the Faculty's Education Office within the set deadline. For foreign applicants, the above admission condition also applies. Applicants are recommended to take a preparatory course in Slovak language. Self-payers are admitted on the basis of a contract. The tuition fees and fees guidelines for the relevant academic year are published at http://www.unipo.sk/pedagogicka-fakulta .

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Applicants will be admitted without an entrance exam. If the number of applicants exceeds the planned number for admission by 25%, the weighted average of the Bachelor's degree will be decisive. The results of the admission procedure will be published in the MAIS information system https://mais.unipo.sk/eprihlaska/pages/odosielatel/rozhranie_odosielatela.mais after the admission procedure has been completed, i.e. after the meeting of the admission committee. The written decision on the result of the admission procedure will be delivered to the applicant's own hands within the statutory deadline.

For the purpose of evaluating his/her specific needs and the scope of support services, the applicant with a disability, together with the application for studies, sends an application form (form published on the faculty's website - Information for applicants) and:

a/ a medical certificate not more than three months old, which is in particular a medical report, a report on the course and development of the illness and disability or an extract from the medical records, or

b/ a statement from a psychologist, speech therapist, school psychologist, school speech therapist or special educator.

General information on the admission exam

• Application should be sent to the address of the faculty: the University of Prešov, Faculty of Education, Department for Education, Ul. 17. listopadu 15, 080 01 Prešov.
• The fee for the admission procedure can be paid exclusively electronically - bank transfer on the basis of a payment order issued by the Education Department. In the message to the recipient, indicate: the applicant's name and surname, the name of the faculty and the document must be signed,
• Receive the certificate of the weighted grade point average achieved during studies at the bachelor's degree level at the faculty's address by 23 May 2023. Only applicants who have studied a bachelor's degree at another faculty are required to submit the document.
• The applicant must submit the certificate to the faculty's address by 23 May 2023.
• Deliver a certified copy of the diploma and diploma supplement from the bachelor's degree to the faculty address by 10 July 2023. Only applicants who have studied the bachelor's degree at another faculty are required to provide proof.
