Management
The Management study programme is exceptional in its linking of management with informatics, marketing and economics. In this combination, interesting skills are acquired, and thus students are able to comprehensively solve problems in each of these areas. Already during the first year of study they work on real projects for companies. Students are prepared for practice and already during the solution of individual assignments they encounter real events in companies. Most of these assignments are worked out in teams, so students are used to working in a team, but at the same time they are forming and identifying among themselves leaders, coordinators and other positions they may specialize in in the future.
Prospects of graduates
The graduate of the first degree of the management study programme will acquire key knowledge, skills and competences in the field of management disciplines. The basic condition for admission to the Bachelor's degree (first cycle study programme) is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education (Act on Higher Education No. 131/2002 Coll., as amended). In the case of a foreign applicant or a student who has completed secondary education abroad, this is an education comparable to that completed by the matriculation examination in the Slovak Republic. An applicant who has obtained secondary education abroad shall submit a decision on the recognition of the document on the completion of secondary education by the relevant institution in the Slovak Republic with the application for university studies, or at the latest at the time of enrolment in the studies.
Additional information
An applicant for admission to more than one study programme shall indicate their preference by order on the application form and pay only one fee. In case of successful completion of the entrance examination, he/she will be admitted in order of preference to the study programme whose requirements he/she fulfils.
Conditions for international students
The same admission conditions apply to foreign applicants as to applicants from the Slovak Republic.
Foreign students studying in a language other than the state language pay tuition fees according to the conditions set out in Section 92(8) of the Higher Education Act. The tuition fee is set by a UNIZA directive and published for the respective academic year on the university's website. Foreign applicants (except applicants from the Czech Republic) who wish to study in the state language are required to pass a language test in Slovak language with a minimum B1* level. The language test is carried out on strictly defined dates published on the website of the Institute of Lifelong Learning of UNIZA (ILL) and its successful completion is a condition for admission to the study. If the applicant has already successfully passed a language test in the Slovak language conducted by the Institute of Lifelong Learning of UNIZA at the required level of at least B1, this language test will be recognised.
The Slovak language test must be passed no later than by the deadline of the admission procedure - 4.6.2026, while a foreign applicant may pass it only once in the calendar year of the admission procedure.
Foreign students studying in Slovak do not pay tuition fees. Applicants from the Czech Republic may use the form valid in the Czech Republic to apply for studies.
For foreign applicants admitted on the basis of interstate agreements, bilateral treaties or for scholarship holders of the Government of the Slovak Republic, the conditions specified in the relevant documents apply.
