General information on the admission exam

• Admissions exams consist of sections that assess the applicant’s creativity and artistic talent, as well as their comprehensive design skills (including technical creativity) and a test to assess their understanding of the subject matter, as well as their knowledge and expertise in the fields of fine arts, architecture, and design.

  The talent entrance exams last two days.

• Required attachments: - All information needed to submit the application can be found after creating an e-application in the university’s system (UIS); - Attachments must be uploaded electronically.
• Applicants who are taking their high school graduation exams in the school year in which they are applying for admission the grade point average and a transcript of grades from the end-of-year report cards for grades 1–3 of high school must be confirmed by the administration of the applicant’s graduating high school in the e-application form,
• All applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their high school graduation certificate and their 4th-year report card to the university system immediately upon receipt—or to bring OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED COPIES on the day of enrollment,
• Applicants who graduated from high school last year or earlier must attach a scan of their high school graduation certificate and all high school transcripts (vocational schools, post-secondary studies) and must list in the application the grade point average for each year as shown on the end-of-year report cards for grades 1–4 (or grade 5 as well), 3
• A separate application for higher education must be submitted for each degree program and form of study;
• International students apply for and are admitted to study under the same conditions as applicants from the Slovak Republic,
• Applicants are admitted to the program based on an evaluation of their high school academic performance (except for applicants to the Furniture and Interior Design program),
• Information about registered applications will be published on the Technical University’s website, in the UIS system under “Admissions Results,” after entering the applicant’s birth number: http://is.tuzvo.sk/prijimacky/verejne_vysledky.pl,
• the faculty will send an invitation to applicants for the field of study “Art,”
• The number of admitted students is determined separately for each study program,
• The results of the entrance exams and admissions selection procedures will be published on the website after they have been evaluated at: http://is.tuzvo.sk/prijimacky/verejne_vysledky.pl or on the faculty’s website at https://df.tuzvo.sk/sk/vysledky-prijimacieho-konania.

Form of entrance exam

Schedule and Scoring for the Entrance Exam:

- Talent exam, consisting of the following tasks

Task No. 1. Drawing from life (still life), max. 25 points, 2 hours.

Task No. 2. Design of the form and technical solution for a piece of furniture, (design, drawing, basic technical representation, scale model), max. 30 points, 4 hours.

Assignment No. 3. Knowledge test in fine arts, architecture, and design, max. 15 points, 1 hour.

Task No. 4. Interior design proposal (design, drawing, basic technical rendering), max. 30 points, 4 hours

TOTAL: max. 100 points
