Conditions of admission

The online application must include the following attachments:

The Faculty of Arts at Trnava University in Trnava (hereinafter referred to as TU) plans, depending on the amount of allocated budgetary funds and the fulfillment of the basic and additional conditions for admission, to admit 50 students to the “Tourist Guide” study program for the 2027/28, 50 students into the Bachelor’s degree program in Tourist Guide.

An electronic application form must be used to apply for the program.

The basic requirement for admission to the bachelor’s program (B.A. degree) is the completion of a full secondary education or a full secondary vocational education.

The Faculty of Arts at TU reserves the right to make any necessary changes and updates in order to improve the admissions process, in accordance with Section 57(5) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions, as amended.

The online application must include the following attachments:

• proof of payment of the admissions fee
• when applying for bachelor’s degree programs, certified copies of end-of-year report cards and the high school graduation certificate
• Applicants must submit a certified copy of their high school diploma by June 10, 2027).

The admissions process for applicants begins on the day the electronic application is submitted with all required attachments. For this reason, applicants submitting their application electronically are required to upload all required attachments to the electronic application (proof of payment of the admissions fee, year-end report cards certified by a notary or the civil registry office, and a certified high school diploma).

Fee for the electronic application: 40 EUR (via the MAIS system).

The Faculty of Arts accepts applications for study exclusively in electronic form, together with the required attachments.

If, after being asked to complete the missing parts of the application, an applicant fails to add the required components to the electronic application within the specified deadline, they will be disqualified from the admissions process. The admissions fee will not be refunded. Final verification of compliance with the admission requirements will take place at a meeting of the admissions committee in June 2027, supported by the modular academic information system.

Applicants who are admitted on the basis of a competitive selection process must submit officially certified copies of their high school diploma within two days after successfully passing the high school graduation exam, but no later than June 10, 2027.

The faculty does not require a medical certificate from the applicant. If necessary, the Faculty may take a disability into account during the admissions exam; the applicant must attach a certificate of disability and a recommendation regarding the format of the exam to the application.

Applicants may submit multiple applications to the faculty. A new electronic application must be submitted for each study program, and the €40 fee must be paid again for each application.

Applicants who have completed a lower level of study abroad must submit recognized educational documents in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 422/2015 Z. z. Proof of payment of the admission fee (in the amount of €40) must be uploaded to the electronic application. The fee is non-refundable if the applicant does not take the entrance exam. The admissions committee determines the minimum score required for admission to the program.

Additional information

The Faculty of Arts at the Technical University offers its students housing, university library services, departmental libraries, and a wide range of specialized classrooms and facilities, such as video presentation classrooms, multimedia classrooms, a multifunctional auditorium, a workspace for doctoral students, the Communication Center, a central IT system, the Modular Academic Information System, the University Pastoral Center, psychological counseling services, a university cafeteria, and several other support services.

Conditions for international students

Applicants who have completed a lower level of studies abroad shall submit proof of equivalence of studies at secondary schools abroad pursuant to Act No.422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of documents on education and on the recognition of professional qualifications and on the amendment and supplementation of certain acts.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

The basic requirement for admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme pursuant to Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended, is the completion of full secondary education or full secondary vocational education concluded with a school-leaving examination.Applicants to the Tourist Guide study programme will be admitted without an entrance examination based on a ranking of applicants. Admission will be based on the linear average of the results achieved during secondary school studies. Secondary education completed at a grammar school will be taken into account in the admission process.A prerequisite for admission to the study programme is the completion of secondary education and the submission of officially certified copies of end-of-year report cards and an officially certified copy of the secondary school leaving certificate.
