The Dentistry study program prepares students for a regulated profession. In accordance with current legislation, graduates are entitled to automatic recognition of their diploma in EU member states.
Prospects of graduates
A graduate of the Dentistry program possesses comprehensive theoretical knowledge in preclinical and clinical disciplines of both medicine and dentistry. Through practical training, the graduate has acquired essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive skills, enabling them to independently perform a wide range of routine dental procedures. They are prepared to apply these competencies in professional practice, with a clear understanding of the interconnection between general medicine and dentistry.
The graduate is qualified to provide healthcare in accordance with ethical principles and with respect for the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

The NPS will take the form of a test in the subjects of chemistry and biology (a test in natural sciences) and a test of general study prerequisites.
In the case of the dentistry programme, the entrance examination consists of a manual dexterity test in addition to the NPS testing. The manual dexterity test consists in the practical cutting out of a copy of a specified model (template) from a plaster block using the supplied modelling tools (modelling knives, lekrons) in a set time of 180 minutes, followed by computerised comparison of the conformity of the created work with the original template using a 3D scanner and specific software.
Tests
The National Comparative Examination (NCE) for the joint first and second level study programs (General Medicine and Dental Medicine) in the Slovak language is organized by the company responsible for its implementation.
The NCE is conducted in the form of a test in the subjects of Chemistry and Biology (Natural Sciences test) and a test of General Academic Prerequisites. The content of the Chemistry and Biology tests does not exceed the scope of complete secondary education, in accordance with § 57(2) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions.
