Clinical Psychology

By completing the program, students acquire profound expertise built on contemporary psychological knowledge and the latest trends in clinical psychology. The curriculum integrates insights from neurosciences and neurophysiology, emphasizes innovative methodologies: ranging from qualitative analyses of lived experiences to advanced technologies such as eye-tracking, EEG, and automated facial expression recognition. Graduates are equipped to publish their findings in high-impact international journals and to effectively communicate and popularize their research for the public sector, government administration, and the private sphere. They are fully prepared for independent scientific inquiry, the creative resolution of complex research problems, and professional engagement within digital environments.

The graduate is prepared for employment in the academic sphere and in research. They are able to independently carry out project tasks and manage project teams, as well as engage in interdisciplinary cooperation, particularly in the areas of mental health and the neurosciences. They may work as a researcher, analyst, university lecturer, methodologist, adviser, consultant, or manager of research and project teams. The graduate is also qualified to work in clinical psychology and psychological counselling, including health psychology within workplace and educational settings. Graduates of this program find employment in various positions in the state and public sector, as well as in the private sector, and not exclusively in the field of healthcare.

Conditions of admission
Admission requirements:

- completed second-cycle (Master’s) university education,
- successful completion of the entrance examination.

Applicants apply for one of the listed dissertation topics.

Information regarding the admission procedure, including the planned number of admitted applicants and dissertation topics for the upcoming academic year, is published on the Faculty’s website at least two months before the final deadline for submitting PhD applications.
The internal regulation governing the admission procedure and enrolment in doctoral studies is available on the Faculty’s website.

The method of evaluating entrance examinations for doctoral studies is set out in the relevant regulation (

Form of entrance exam
A dissertation project focused on the selected topic is a mandatory attachment to the application.
The entrance examination is conducted in the form of an interview.
