Human Resources and Personnel Management
Graduates of the Human Resources and Personnel Management study program within the third degree of higher education studies of the particular study program, are eligible to perform professions such as:
- University teacher, scientist and researcher,
- Research and Development Manager,
- Human Resource Development Scientist.

- The essential prerequisite is the completion of Master's study in Human Resources and Personnel Management or the completion of one of the Master's study programme in the field of study 8 Economics and Management. The selection of applicants is made based on the results of the admission interview made with the admissions board. The selection is done according to the applicants' knowledge of the field of study, as well as their ability to explain the content, research methods, structure and expected results of the dissertation selected.
- In the admission interview, candidates shall present their thesis project in the scope of about 15 pages (of which 1 page is devoted to an abstract in a foreign language) and participate in a scientific discussion in line with the topic areas related to the study programme Human Resources and Personnel Management. During the interview, applicants' foreign language skills will also be assessed.
Additional information
- Students in their last year of Master's study may also apply to Doctoral Study programme. Please, indicate the fact in the application form.
- If an applicant has not been issued a Master degree diploma by the admission interview deadline, the applicant shall submit the diploma by the deadline set by the Admission Board.
- Under the admission procedure, supervisors and doctoral thesis topics shall be assigned. The topics can be found on www.fsev.tnuni.sk under the “Applicants/uchádzači“ section.
- During the interview, the Admission Board will examine the applicants' qualifications for study. The Admission Board shall evaluate the results of the admission interview in a closed session. If there are more candidates with the same topic in the admission interview, the Admissions Board shall determine the ranking based on the admission interview performance. However, multiple applicants may address the same topic, unless the nature of the topic precludes this. In determining the ranking, the committee shall also consider the number and quality of the applicant's professional publications or artistic activity, and/or the results of other professional activities. Achievements in ŠVOČ are also taken into consideration.
- Minutes on the outcome of the admission interview shall be drawn up. The Admission Board shall submit a proposal for the admission of successful doctoral candidates to the Dean. Based on the Admissions Board's proposal, the Dean shall decide whether to admit the applicants. The decision on admission includes the information on the assignment of the doctoral thesis topic and the supervisor.
- The decision on the outcome of the admission procedure shall be made in writing within 30 days of verification of the fulfilment of the admission criteria and shall contain a statement, reasons, and an indication of the possibility of submitting a request for its review. The decision on admission/non-admission shall be send by registered mail.
- Applicants may submit a request for the admission interview outcome to be reviewed.
- Admitted applicants become doctoral students on the enrolment date, which is set by the Dean.
- During the study, the doctoral thesis topic may be modified only with the Dean's approval.
- Applicants who completed a Master's degree programme abroad must submit a document on the recognition of a completed higher-education study issued by a foreign institution of higher education. If an international treaty between the respective state and the Slovak Republic on mutual recognition and equivalence of educational documents is concluded, such document is not required (e.g. higher education diplomas issued in the Czech Republic are automatically considered equivalent).
- The selection procedure begins with the receipt of applicants' application forms. Applications are to be received by the deadline announced by the Faculty. The Faculty does not notify the applicants on the registration of their application. Applicants may check the registration of their application in the Academic Information System (AIS) based on the information published on www.fsev.tnuni.sk in the UCHÁDZAČI/APPLICANTS section.
- Incomplete documents or annexes will not be subject to the selection procedure.
- The attached documents and admission fee will not be returned to the applicants.
Application deadline
Additional deadlines and/or deadline extensions (admission dates) will be decided by the Dean.
Tuition fees
In line with the applicable Directive on tuition fees and other fees associated with studies at TnUAD, tuition fees will be charged to part-time students, those full-time students who are simultaneously studying at another institution of higher education and/or students who have exceeded the standard duration of their study.
Conditions for international students
Admission criteria are identical with those of Slovak students.

Electronic application form
It is recommended to apply via https://e-prihlaska.tnuni.sk. It is not required to print and send the completed e-application to the Department of Student Affairs. Applicants shall send only the mandatory annexes.
Application to Doctoral Study
The weighted grade point average achieved in the Master's degree programme shall be indicated in the application form.
To expedite communication in case of missing information, applicants are requested to provide a correct and valid email address in the application form.
Mandatory annexes to the application:
- A signed Curriculum Vitae.
- A copy of the diploma supplement certified by a notary public or a registry office or an original transcript of records for the full Master's degree study confirmed by the Department of Student Affairs (not applicable to graduates of FSEV TnUAD).
- A copy of the Master's degree diploma certified by a notary public or a registry office (not required for graduates of FSEV TnUAD).
- Information on publishing activities and achievements in competitions of student scientific works.
- Doctoral thesis project to be presented in the admission interview.
Mandatory annexes for graduates with special needs:
- When needed, applicants with specific needs shall enclose a request for having their special needs considered pursuant to the Organizational Directive for Applicants and Students with Special Needs, TnUAD.
Mandatory annexes shall be submitted to the Department of Student Affairs no later than by the application submission deadline.
An e-application will only be registered in the Academic Information System with an application status of "uložená/saved". Registration in AIS can be checked in the e-application form, the status of the application shall be "preklopená/flipped" and after the payment of the fee, the status "poplatok uhradený/fee paid" shall be indicated.
If the admission fee is not paid in the e-application form within 8 days of the "preklopená/flipped" status, the applicant shall email a copy of the payment receipt to the Chief Accountant: maria.suletyova@tnuni.sk.
Applicants who do not pay the admission fee and/or do not submit the required annexes will not be invited to the interview.

Billing information
Invoice data to pay the admission procedure fee will be generated automatically in the form of a bank order after submitting the e-application, which can be found on https://e-prihlaska.tnuni.sk/ais/eprihlas.
If the admission procedure fee is not registered in the e-application within 8 days of payment, applicants shall send a copy of payment to the head of the accounting office to: maria.suletyova@tnuni.sk.
