Characteristics
A graduate of the study program has knowledge of manufacturing processes in the automotive industry, smart technologies, automation, and industrial informatics. They are prepared for technical and coordination tasks in modern production lines with emphasis on efficient manufacturing, quality, and intelligent solutions. The graduate understands automotive systems from electromechanics to electronic control units. They can operate, adjust, and diagnose production equipment, including robotic workplaces and automated systems in line with Industry 4.0 principles. Through dual education, they acquire practical experience in production and are capable of performing assembly, quality control, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing processes. They are prepared for positions such as production technician, line operator, technical support specialist, maintenance coordinator, and service manager, where they supervise teams and ensure service quality.
Educational objectives
A graduate of the bachelor’s study program Smart Automotive Technologies is able to apply knowledge of automotive manufacturing, electrical engineering, automation, and information technologies. They understand the principles of production systems and assembly lines, including their electrical, mechanical, and control components. The graduate comprehends the structure of modern technologies—from sensors and actuators to control and data collection systems. They can operate and configure production equipment, assess their condition, and contribute to their efficient and safe operation. They are familiar with diagnostics, maintenance, and monitoring of technologies and use digital tools and information systems of Smart Manufacturing. The graduate is prepared to work in automotive plants in accordance with Industry 4.0 principles and to apply both technical and managerial skills in roles such as automotive service manager.

Graduates of the bachelor’s study program Smart Automotive Technologies can work independently or in teams to apply acquired knowledge in reading, creating, and interpreting technical documentation according to valid technical standards. They are capable of effectively solving technical problems by applying knowledge from electrical engineering, mechatronics, information technologies, and manufacturing processes in the automotive industry. They make well-founded decisions when selecting and implementing suitable methods, technical procedures, and digital tools within the Industry 4.0 framework. The graduates master advanced digital systems for configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization of production lines or automotive technologies.
With these competencies, they can work as production technicians, smart manufacturing line operators, maintenance technicians, diagnosticians, technical support specialists, or automotive service managers. Graduates are ready to work in production and service teams, in companies focused on digitalization and automation of manufacturing processes, and in technological, service, and business organizations within the automotive and smart technology sectors.
