Priemyselná mechatronika

Characteristics

A graduate of the Industrial Mechatronics study program in the third stage of university studies has knowledge in the field of mechanics, electronics, control, sensors, converters, actuators and other areas, which he can integrate into functional units with a synergistic effect.
He controls the tools of scientific analysis, design, simulation and optimization of mechatronic systems. The graduate is able to work independently and as part of a scientific team and bring new knowledge to the field of science and practice.

Learning Objectives

A graduate of the Industrial Mechatronics study program in the third stage of university studies will gain knowledge about the scientific methods of research and development of industrial mechatronics. The course is aimed at graduates of engineering or master's studies who are inclined to solve theoretical engineering-scientific problems in the fields of mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, mechanical engineering, computer science and automatic control up to the level of artificial intelligence. The graduate will acquire knowledge, abilities and skills to analyze and think abstractly, and the ability to apply knowledge from individual scientific fields in solving technical and scientific problems, the ability to control modern analytical and numerical methods and methods of mathematical modeling and simulation tools and experimental methods.
The graduate will acquire comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience and master the methodologies of scientific work, and will prepare him for independent scientific work in areas synergistically cooperating with electrical engineering, mechanics, informatics, automation and control, measurement technology and sensor technology. He will acquire knowledge based on the current state of scientific knowledge and will contribute to new knowledge in this field through his own creative scientific activity. He will learn the principles of scientific work in the context of research-development-production-use-recycling, scientific problem formulation (technical assignment), legal and environmental aspects of new products, ethical and social aspects of scientific work, presentation of results, development of the field of study and contribution to practice.
The acquired knowledge includes primarily selected articles from mathematics related to partial differential equations, matrix calculus, Laplace transformation, numerical methods, optimization methods, calculus of variations, statistical methods and regression and correlation analysis, etc. A significant part of the theoretical training consists of modeling of mechatronic systems, controlled oscillation of mechanical systems, experimental methods in mechanics, selected states from machine dynamics, theory of automatic control, control systems, sensors and sensor systems, motion systems, robotics, artificial intelligence and microsystem technology. A significant part of the theoretical preparation is the study of a foreign language.

The graduate has the ability to identify, evaluate and solve scientific-technical problems and the ability to recognize the problem in time, correctly name it, assess it, choose the correct solution procedure, implement the intention and see it through to the end and then evaluate the result. He has the ability to independently work scientifically and come up with new ideas. Has the ability to use modern scientific procedures and tools in the design of products and processes. He also has the ability to use mathematical thinking to solve tasks and problems in solving scientific problems in research activities and also in the development of technical practice.
The graduate has the ability to create solutions with the application of knowledge about engineering design and research activities (goals, structure, components, functions, properties, research and development. He can apply professional and scientific knowledge from technical, technological, managerial, economic, organizational, management and service sciences He can also create an analysis of the logical behavior of a product and a synthesis of a logical system, and apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to solving optimization tasks of industrial mechatronics and create innovative solutions based on the results.
The graduate has the ability to design and implement an engineering experiment for the identification of unknown parameters or the verification of product or process properties, the ability to create simulation models and solve simulation tasks of products and processes. The graduate has the ability to design structural nodes and units using CAx programs with the option of parametrizing models with subsequent application in simulation environments and controls tools for creating virtual prototypes.
The graduate has the ability to create control and regulation subsystems and test them with virtual prototypes of mechatronic systems with the possibility of visualizing the activity of the virtual prototype.
The graduate has the ability of teamwork and cooperation and the ability to participate actively and responsibly in group work in the creation of innovative solutions and has presentation skills and manages to create a whole range of presentations.
