Quality and Safety

Characteristics

The graduate of the Bachelor's study programme Quality and Safety has the knowledge of basic theoretical knowledge in the field of quality management and occupational health and safety. The student applies knowledge of production quality in mechanical engineering, occupational health and safety, fire protection, as well as basic information on maintenance management requirements, technical diagnostic tools and machine safety. Understands the laws of engineering production management, can apply the supporting tools of quality management as well as the legislative requirements relating to occupational health and safety. Is able to create and manage the conditions of the production process in terms of occupational safety and production quality.

Learning objectives

The graduate of the Bachelor's degree in Quality and Safety will acquire knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- application of software tools for quality, safety and risk management in all stages of the technical life of the product,
- legislative requirements for quality and safe products and their application in practice,
- process approach and improvement in management systems,
- risk analysis of machines as a condition for integrated safety, their operation and placement on the EU market,
- predictive tools for maintenance management, such as e.g. vibrodiagnostics, tribodiagnostics and thermal diagnostics.

Learning Outcomes

Absolvent 1.degree of the KaB study programme is able to:
- be a member of a team for supervision, inspection and certification of technical systems in government and public institutions,
- be a member of a team in planning procedures and applying methods in basic and applied research activities to minimize risks as the most effective preventive measures,
- be part of an audit team for quality, safety and other management systems,
- operate in the quality/safety department in the introduction of products and processes,
- manage maintenance and implement and use technical diagnostic tools (e.g., technical diagnostics tools (e.g. maintenance technician, maintenance supervisor) in industrial practice.

- fire protection specialist,

- foreman (reviser) of machinery maintenance in the mining industry,

- foreman (supervisor) in the metallurgical industry.

Conditions of admission

<131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, the basic condition for admission to the Bachelor's degree (first degree study programme) is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education. On the basis of §56 (2) of the Act, SJF TUKE determines other conditions for admission to study in individual study programmes.

Application is submitted in electronic form - e-application.

No high school transcripts or doctor's notes are required with the application.

The basic condition for admission to a Bachelor study (I. level study programme) is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education. FME TUKE determines further conditions for admission to study in individual study programs. See Method of selection of candidates.

According to §56 (1) of Act No.131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, the basic condition for admission to the Bachelor's degree (first degree study programme) is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education. On the basis of §56 (2) of the Act, SJF TUKE determines other conditions for admission to study in individual study programmes.

No secondary school grades or doctor's certificates are required with the application form.
