Under the Higher Education Act, every Slovak higher education institution is required to accept the application you submitted via the Central Electronic Application system. Whether or not they provide updates on the subsequent processing of your application depends on their level of participation.

Full level of participation

  • The higher education institution provides information regarding the processing of the application.
  • You will be able to view your submitted applications and their status in your account—for example, confirmation of receipt, notification of admission, payment details for the admission fee, or confirmation of fee payment.
  • You will also receive information via SMS or email.
  • What should you do? Monitor the status of your application in your account.

Partial level of participation

  • The higher education institution does not provide basic confirmation of application receipt.
  • You will not see information regarding further processing in your account.
  • The higher education institution will provide further information on the processing of your application through other channels.
  • What should you do? Monitor your email, the institution's website, and any instructions provided by the institution. If the institution uses its own information system for applicants, it may ask you to track the next steps there.
