Podstatou tohto projektu je skúmanie zobrazenia zmeny kultúrnej senzibility vo vybraných dielach súčasnej anglofónnej literatúry (americká, britská, austrálska, kanadská, havajská literatúra a iné) v období postpostmodernej situácie a súčasného obdobia. Dôraz bude kladený na zobrazenie reakcie diel anglofónnej literatúry na postpostmoderné zobrazovanie skutočnosti v kontexte využitia teórií, akými sú digimodernizmus, postpostmodernizmus, transmodernizmus a iné. Jedným z hlavných cieľov projektu je poukázať na jednej strane na návrat tendencie neomimetického zobrazovania skutočnosti ako reakcie na predchádzajúce postmoderné relativistické a pluralistické zobrazovanie skutočnosti, na strane druhej na formovanie tzv. post-postmodernej literatúry a postrasovej estetiky (Saldívar) v anglofónnych litetúrach. Ďalším dôležitým cieľom projektu je poukázanie na komplexnosť etnickej identity postkoloniálnych anglofónnych kultúr v kontexte interkultúrnych vplyvov a videnia sveta domorodých kultúr na jednej strane, na druhej strane ovplyvnenej západným videním sveta, kolonializmom a racionalistickým videním sveta, čoho výsledkom môže byť formovanie tzv. transnároda (B. Ashcroft) a hybridnej identity. Návrh nového predmetu, učebné osnovy, učebné texty a vedecká monografia prispejú tak k obohateniu vedeckému výskumu, ako aj k jeho aplikácii do praxe prostredníctvom inovácie študijných programov v rámci štúdia anglistiky.

Project annotation in English language

The main aim of this project is to explore a depiction of changing cultural sensibilities in selected works of contemporary Anglophone literature (American, British, Australian, Canadian, Hawaiian, and other literatures) in the post-postmodern and contemporary periods. Emphasis will be placed on a depiction of the response of works of Anglophone literature to postmodern representations of reality in the context of the use of theories such as digimodernism, postmodernism, transmodernism, and others. One of the main aims of the project is to show, on the one hand, the return of the tendency of neomimetic representation of reality as a reaction to the previous postmodern relativistic and pluralistic representation of reality, on the other hand on the formation of the so-called post-postmodern literature and post-racial aesthetics (Saldívar) in Anglophone literatures. Another important aim of the project is to show a formation of the complexity of ethnic identity in the post-colonial world in the context of intercultural influences and world-view of indigenous cultures on the one hand, on the other hand influenced by Western world-view, colonialism and rationalist world-view, which may result in the formation of the so-called transnation (B. Ashcroft) and hybrid identity. The design of the new course, the curriculum, the teaching texts, CD and the scholarly monograph will contribute both to the enrichment of scholarly research in this field and to its application in practice through curricular innovation within English Studies.
