Projekt rieši kritickú potrebu inovatívnych pedagogických a didaktických prístupov vo výučbe chémie dentálnych materiálov pre študentov zubného lekárstva patriacich do generácie Z. Táto iniciatíva preferuje moderné trendy učenia, ktoré sú v súlade s  významnou medzinárodnou akademickou organizáciou v oblasti vzdelávania v medicíne - The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).

The project addresses the critical need for innovative pedagogical and didactic approaches in teaching the chemistry of dental materials for dental students belonging to Generation Z. This initiative favors modern learning trends that are in line with the significant international academic organization in the field of medical education - The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). It aims to provide educators and students with tools and strategies for an engaging and effective learning experience. By focusing on the integration of modern educational technologies, especially e-learning platforms familiar to today's students (such as AMBOSS), together with new teaching methods, this project seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application of knowledge in the field of dental materials chemistry. The rational use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, in particular developing the ability to ask the right questions and critically evaluate AI outputs, can help not only in understanding the design of existing dental materials, but also in understanding their physical and chemical properties, which can lead to their targeted and correct application in clinical practice in the future. The need for innovation in teaching the subject Chemistry of Dental Materials in connection with the needs of 21st century society is in line with the current comprehensive reform of the curriculum after the final approval of the new 5-year study program in dentistry, which was successfully prepared and implemented by the Faculty of Medicine of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice as the first in Slovakia. The project aims to support deeper learning, facilitate effective knowledge acquisition and develop a seamless and more relevant educational path for dental students, thereby increasing their readiness for future clinical practice. This project will provide educators with the resources and support needed to adopt these innovative approaches, which should ultimately improve student outcomes as well as the overall quality of education in the field of dental materials chemistry.
