Obsah týchto aktivít bude zohľadňovať inštitucionálne dokumenty vzdelávania a štúdiá zahraničnej literatúry zaoberajúce sa konštruktivistickými prístupmi k vyučovaniu geografie a využitím geopriestorových technológií.

The project is aimed at transforming the educational environment in connection with the rapid progress of digital technologies and their integration into the teaching of geography in primary and secondary schools. The main goal of the project is to support the development of students' spatial thinking through the active use of digital technologies in the classroom and in the field. The project will be implemented on the basis of cooperation with education actors, including teachers and teacher students, as well as primary and secondary school students.

As part of the three-year project, university teaching texts with learning tasks will be created, which will focus on the use of digital technologies in the classroom and in the field. These materials will contribute to the didactic preparation of future geography teachers and will also serve as a resource for practicing teachers to support non-formal education.

As part of the project, informal educational activities, such as webinars and seminars, focused on the issue of the use of digital technologies in the teaching of geography will also be implemented. The content of these activities will take into account institutional documents of education and studies of foreign literature dealing with constructivist approaches to teaching geography and the use of geospatial technologies.

We emphasize exploring the ways in which digital technologies, including mobile applications, map webGIS, open data, Google Earth Engine, virtual and augmented reality, and multimedia, influence students' spatial thinking. The project asks questions regarding the didactics of geography, teachers' opinions and the preparation of future teachers for the use of digital technologies in teaching. The output of the project will be knowledge about the impact of digital technologies on educational processes and spatial thinking of students, which will be taken into account in the further development of the teaching process in geographic education.
