The main objective
The joint conference MAP 2026 (Material – Acoustics – Place 2026) and AkProFyzIA 2026 (Current Issues in Physics Education 2026) is organized in cooperation with the Woodworking Congress and the Slovak Acoustical Society at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, both members of the Union of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies.
The combination of these two events creates a space for interdisciplinary discussion, the exchange of current scientific knowledge, and the deepening of cooperation between academia and professional practice.
The MAP 2026 conference is organized by the Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technologies at Technical University Zvolen and focuses on trends in the field of acoustics, covering a wide range of topics: acoustics, materials engineering, the properties of wood and building materials, building and room acoustics, and the impact of noise on humans and the environment.
The AkProFyzIA 2026 conference is organized by the Department of Physics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Žilina in Žilina and focuses on addressing current challenges in physics education at universities and high schools, providing a forum for experts to discuss and propose solutions to these issues.
