SOCIALIA 2025 – Medzinárodná vedecká konferencia v Banskej Bystrici

The aim of the international scientific conference is to connect experts from different countries and fields, share best practices, respond to new challenges, and support interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of helping professions.

Objectives of the scientific conference in detail:

• to encourage the international exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of prevention of socio-pathological phenomena from the aspect of helping professions, with special regard to the institutionalisation of social pedagogy and the association of social educators,
• to follow up on the results of previous international conferences "SOCIALIA", intensify the further development of cooperation between experts in the field of prevention and solution of socio-pathological phenomena in European countries,
• deepening interdisciplinary collaboration among experts in solving socio-educational problems from the perspective of the helping professions.

Main topic: Threats to children, youth and adults

Thematic areas:

1. Social pedagogy - its development and direction in Slovakia and abroad
2. Social pedagogue - his roles, problems, and new challenges in the context of social and educational practice with at-risk children and youth
3. Bullying as a socio-educational problem and the possibilities for its prevention in the school environment
4. Current threats to children, youth, and adults - options for prevention and solutions

The SOCIALIA 2025 conference is a partial output of the KEGA project no. 021UMB-4/2025 Prophylactic aspects of bullying in educational practice.
