Libraries 2025 – Sustainable Future, 5th annual nationwide conference with international participation

The aim of the conference is to identify and name the prospective priorities of state cultural policy in the field of librarianship and libraries, which are the most extensive network of cultural institutions in the Slovak Republic, to gain inspiration from foreign partners in promoting library priorities as part of strategic cultural policy tools, and to gain an overview of initiatives, projects, and efforts that have been successfully implemented in Slovakia.

As part of the conference, we want to give libraries the opportunity to present their successful outputs, projects, initiatives, and plans.  Through your contribution, you will be able to present and raise the profile of your library and its activities in the areas of new trends, synergy, and inclusion. Your contribution should focus on new services, activities, changes in professional practices, comparisons between intentions and reality, or necessary compromises that did not jeopardize the original goal.

• Submission of applications: by July 30, 2025
• Selected participants will be notified in advance, no later than August 15, 2025, by email.
