Urgent Medical Care
Graduates are entitled to perform the medical profession of paramedic in the emergency medical service, at central receptions in inpatient medical facilities, at the operation centre and in the components of the integrated rescue system.
A graduate after completing the statutory experience has the prerequisites for continuing in further education (specialization studies and certification training).

for the admission procedure in the external form of study:
- attention! the study is four years from the academic year 2016/2017 !
- completed full secondary vocational education by matriculation examination in the study field of paramedic and at least 1 year of professional experience in the emergency service (basic components of the integrated rescue system) or in the study field of general nurse (not medical assistant) who performs the activity of a paramedic with at least 5 years of experience in permanent employment in the emergency medical service (ambulance, ambulance - not ARO and ICU),
- completed secondary vocational education by matriculation examination in the study field of paramedic
- a qualified general nurse who performs the activity of a paramedic with a minimum of 3 years' experience in permanent employment in the emergency medical service (ambulance, R.A.M. - not A.R.U. and ICU),
- a qualified general nurse who performs the activity of a paramedic with a minimum of 3 years' experience in permanent employment in the emergency medical service
- passing a physical fitness test - obtaining a minimum of 20 points out of 45,
- completed and signed application form with the required attachments, including the paid admission fee,
- acquired competence to practice the profession in the relevant field,
- acquired competence to practice the profession in the relevant field,
- acquired competence to practice the profession in the relevant field,- work in the field of study at the time of registration and throughout the study. The employer's confirmation of employment must be attached to the application form.

During the study period, it is stipulated that clinical practice at accredited and designated SZU workplaces in the range of 120 - 308 hours for each semester must be completed.

The Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava reserves the right not to open bachelor programmes in case of a lower number of applicants than the planned number.It also reserves the right not to open any of these study programmes for other serious reasons.

The application form must be accompanied by:
- matriculation certificate - photocopy certified by a notary public or registry office,
- applicants for the external form of study, if they have a higher vocational education, shall also attach a certified copy of the diploma of higher vocational studies,
