Conditions of admission
Basic requirement:

for doctor study in full-time form is obtaining complete high school education or complete secondary school education.

Study applicant will prove his completed high school education by a notarized copy of the leaving exam at the entrance exam.

Other terms:

Every applicant with Slovak citizenship, a citizen of a EU member state or a citizen of a third state who until the deadline specified above sends a properly filled out application and meets the basic conditions of admission may participate in the admission procedure for study programmes studied in English language.

Applicants who completed their high school studies in foreign countries will submit a certificate of equality or a nostrification provision according to valid regulations.

Another condition of admission to doctor study is successful performance of the entrance exam.

A medical confirmation of physical and mental ability to university studies is required to be submitted along with the application form. In case the applicant is applying for two study programmes, only one medical certificate is to be submitted.

Applicants will receive written invitation to entrance exam one month before the entrance exam at the latest.

Conditions for international students
Requirements for the entrance exams of foreign students are the same as for the citizens of Slovak republic, self-payers are admitted on the basis of an agreement.

The faculty provides education in English for foreign students in both study programmes of doctor study.

General information on the admission exam
Creation of the electronic application form is acceptable on the website www.upjs.sk

Applicants who completed their high school studies in foreign countries will submit a certificate of equality or a nostrification provision according to valid regulations.

Every applicant with Slovak citizenship, a citizen of a EU member state or a citizen of a third state who until the deadline specified above sends a properly filled out application and meets the basic conditions of admission may participate in the admission procedure for study programmes of UPJŠ MF studied in English language.

Applicants with the Slovak citizenship may sign up two weeks before the entrance examination if they did not apply for the same study programme in Slovak language. Applicants without the Slovak citizenship may sign up until June 2, 2021 (for the entrance examination on June 16, 2021)/August 2, 2021 (for the entrance examination on August 16, 2021) including. For examination of observance of sign-up deadline, the decisive date is the date on the stamp of the post office, at which was the mail sent.

The conditional of registration is properly filled out application form, which must contain:

• certificate from practicing physician on medical fitness for study,

• copy of passport or ID card,

• confirmation of payment of fee for acts connected with the admission procedure (hereafter referred to as „fee“) - payment acceptable only by bank transfer,

• school leaving certificate,

• attachment to application form.

The fee will not be returned after registration of the application.

Applicants interested in participating in entrance exams for multiple study programmes must send one application with attachments (except for the medical certificate) for each study programme and pay the fee.

Applicants can send only one application for one study programme.

Form of entrance exam
Entrance exam will be performed in the form of a written test from subjects biology and chemistry. Content orientation of individual subjects with its extent represents the content of a complete high school education.

Tests
The set of test questions for applicants consists of 200 questions - 100 questions from biology and 100 questions from chemistry. Time for answering 200 questions is 150 minutes. Formulation of questions and four variants of answers enables the selection of the correct answer, while question can have multiple correct answers or none. Maximum number of points the applicant can receive is 800.

Applicants can buy the test questions in bookshops available on the faculty website.
