Materials
The graduates of “Materials” doctoral study programme will acquire valuable and deep knowledge in relation to of the physical and chemical properties of materials and this knowledge will be extended by diagnostics and computational simulation of physical properties for these materials. The graduate of this study will have the required knowledge and skills which represents the perfect prerequisite for the research and development of new, progressive materials. He/she will be completely educated from the aspect of the various scientific methods relating to the research and development of the new advanced materials, including the technologies of their production and processing to obtain the semi-finished and final products of the high-class quality. The given graduate is familiar with mutual connection and effect within the research-development-production-application-recycling. The graduates will not have difficulties with the clear scientific problem formulation, including the legal and environmental aspects of new products, presentation of results and it means, that they will participate in the growth of the scientific field of study and its contribution to the technical practice. The graduates will be able to solve problems and issues independently from the aspect of the wide range of construction materials. On the basis of deep theoretical knowledge, they will be able to predict the utility properties of the investigated materials. The graduates come up with their own approaches to solutions of problems in the field of materials.
The graduate is completely educated to solve the most demanding issues of the technical practice in order to improve the properties of existing materials as well as to improve the technical aspects and approaches relating the quality enhancement of materials, components, tools and utility items production. The graduate will be able to work independently in a scientific team and, after some training, he/she can also manage the work of the research team. He/she will have ability to use creative approach in relation to improve his/her knowledge in the given scientific field.
