Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

The programme is oriented to scientific methods of research and development in chemistry and physics, namely theoretical chemistry methods and scientific programming. The interdisciplinarity of the programme enables theoretical analysis and computational prediction of spectroscopic, electric, magnetic etc. properties of molecules and their reactivity, participation in chemical research, solving the problems of condensed and solid materials, in chemistry, biochemistry and/or molecular biology.

Theoretical chemistry methods and scientific programming, theoretical formulations of TCC methods, theoretical analysis and computational prediction of spectroscopic, electric, magnetic etc. properties of molecules and their reactivity, solving the problems of condensed and solid materials, computer simulations in various branches of chemistry, physics and biology.

Prospects of graduates

The graduate is skilled in scientific methods of research and development in chemistry and physics. He has deep knowledge of theoretical chemistry methods and  skills in scientific programming. He is able to  develop new theoretical methods of TCC, effective computer codes, computer simulations and their applications in various branches of chemistry, physics and biology. His interdisciplinary knowledge enables theoretical analysis and computational prediction of spectroscopic, electric, magnetic etc. properties of molecules and their reactivity, research participation in various branches of chemistry, condensed and solid materials, biochemistry and molecular biology.
