Landscape Engineering
The Landscape Engineering study programme presents a set of measures addressed in agricultural and rural landscapes. It covers the issues of harmonisation of production activities, their diversification with the creation of healthy living conditions with a focus on sustainable living and in accordance with the interests of water management, forestry, transport infrastructure, rural development, etc. This issue is closely linked to the protection and improvement of the soil and the protection of nature and the landscape. Waste management, recycling, the disposal of old environmental burdens and the recovery of waste, especially from agricultural production - its use to increase the organic matter content of the soil - are also part of the issue.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates find employment in state administration institutions such as environmental authorities, land offices, forest offices, Slovak Land Fund, cadastral offices, cadastral administrations, municipal offices, etc. Waste management issues, recycling, disposal of old environmental burdens and recovery of wastes, especially from agricultural production - their use to increase the content of organic matter in the soil - are also part of the subject. They will be applied in consultancy services, especially in ecological issues, in the field of secondary raw materials management and in the field of the environment. They can also be used in contractor organisations focusing on land reclamation and water management construction, etc.

Basic admission requirements
The basic condition for admission to the study according to §56 (1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts as amended by later regulations is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education.
Other admission requirements
The selection of applicants to the horticulture and landscape engineering programmes will be made by ranking according to the results of studies from secondary school, where the qualitative indicator will be the study average of the grades achieved in the first three years. Admission is also subject to an interview, which will be conducted online. This admission principle applies to applicants who are applying to study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Culture for the first time.
For applicants who have already studied at FZKI, the results obtained in secondary school, including the final examination, and the results obtained in studies at the faculty are considered.
If the planned number of admitted candidates for individual study programmes is not filled, the faculty reserves the right to announce a second round of admissions, which will be announced at least two months before the last day for the submission of applications.
In the case of applicants who are not admitted to a priority study programme, the Dean of the Faculty reserves the right to admit the applicant to another, related, study programme.
