Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the study programme Corporate Business and Marketing in the field of study Economy and Management are qualified to carry out the profession according to the achieved degree: Ing. (marketing manager) – marketing manager, marketing analyst, purchasing manager, sales manager, product manager or specialist for sales, distribution and logistics, marketing communications, market research, business operations, as well as consumer policy can address complex marketing challenges requiring medium and long term decisions. Graduates have knowledge about elements of marketing mix and methods of their effective synthesis, they are able to model virtual behaviour of consumer subjects and their interaction with marketing environment, they know methods of business systems management, they are ready to work in wide-spectrum business practice with knowledge of marketing philosophy and use of marketing tools. They are able to analyse and evaluate complex problems in the company regarding marketing management as well as problems of business systems. They are able to design and implement alternatives of diverse marketing mix concepts according to the latest knowledge of marketing theory and at the same time assess the interaction of market subjects with the complex marketing environment of the business entity. The knowledge gained in the field of application of modern marketing tools, creation of marketing concepts, functioning of business systems will enable graduates to successfully manage teams of employees, independently design projects and take responsibility for complex solutions of business and marketing activities in the enterprise. The professional profile corresponds to the experience gained from the application of a set of qualitative and quantitative methods in marketing, design of concepts for the attributes of modern marketing mix, formulation and verification of hypotheses from market data, experimental procedures in the evaluation of consumer and commercial market behaviour.

Requirements for admission to the 2nd level of study are set by individual faculties themselves.

Študijný program je akreditovaný Akreditačnou komisiou, poradným orgánom vlády SR.



Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants have the same conditions as applicants from the Slovak Republic, however, they must complete a language and training course in order to meet the requirements of the study program in the Slovak language (except for applicants from the Czech Republic and applicants for the Faculty of Applied Languages). Applicants who have been granted a certificate of a Slovak living abroad under a special regulation are considered a Slovak citizen. When admitting foreign applicants, the PHF EU in Košice also accepts the completion of the Language and Training Course of the Department of Information and Language Communication of the PHF EU in Košice or the Faculty of FAJ EU Bratislava.

Internationally accepted certificate confirming mastery of English is needed if the applicant has not yet studied in English. This certificate is not required if previous education or its relevant parts have been taught in English.More specifically: an internationally accepted certificate of English language proficiency (international IELTS certificate with a achieved level of 6.0, or comparable); if the applicant has completed a bachelor's study program, or part of it (at least 1 semester) in English, or his / her mother tongue is English, a certificate is not required.



Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Uchádzač, ktorý absolvoval študijný program I. stupňa štúdia v študijnom odbore „ekonomika a manažment podniku“ alebo „obchodné podnikanie“ a získal celkový výsledok bodového hodnotenia na štátnej skúške minimálne 102 bodov (súčet bodov za jednotlivé hodnotené časti) v akademickom roku 2018/2019, 2019/2020 a v akademickom roku 2020/2021 na PHF EU v Košiciach, môže byť prijatý na štúdium II. stupňa bez prijímacej skúšky, a to na takú formu štúdia, ktorú uviedol vo svojej prihláške ako 1. v poradí.

Pre uchádzačov z PHF EU v Košiciach platí:

a) Ak od absolvovania štátnej bakalárskej skúšky na PHF EU v Košiciach neuplynuli viac ako 3 roky, uchádzač bude prijatý na štúdium na základe bodového hodnotenia štátnej bakalárskej skúšky.

b) Ak od absolvovania štátnej bakalárskej skúšky na PHF EU v Košiciach uplynuli viac ako 3 roky, uchádzač musí úspešne vykonať prijímaciu skúšku písomnou formou.

Notice:

The University of Economics in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as EU) accepts such an online Application Form form only which will be created in the Academic Information System (AiS2) of EU in Bratislava, not in the academic web portal (www.portalvs.sk) and pay the fee of €60 (without the claim to a reduced fee).

The fee for the admission procedures must be settled solely by the bank transfer (not by cheque). The transfer order to settle the payment in the bank is not a proof of payment for the entrance examination. The account statement, or a receipt that the payment is settled by internet banking can be acknowledged.
