Prospects of graduates

Graduates of the study programme Business Economics and Management in the field of study Economy and Management are qualified to carry out the profession: Bc. (business economist and manager) – the business economist and manager is able to solve less demanding economic decision-making problems, as he knows and understands the basic economic and managerial ties of the business. Graduates of the study programme Business Economics and Management are able to analyse simple economic phenomena and processes in the enterprise and its surroundings and on this basis make simple managerial decisions in accordance with the latest trends and requirements of economic practice. They are able to solve medium-sized tasks in various managerial positions at the lower and middle level of business management, especially in the areas of corporate finance, taxes, accounting, financial-economic analysis and management of the company and its resources. They also have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of national and business disciplines, law, international trade, marketing, mathematics, statistics and informatics as a quantitative content of the graduate profile. As the only graduates of economic faculties in the region of Eastern Slovakia, they gain a competitive advantage by taking a state accounting examination, which will support graduates in the field of accounting in manufacturing companies, but also in companies with different business and service activities. They find managerial application in various types of companies in the private and public sectors. Due to professional communication skills from foreign languages, they will also be well applied in the international economic environment, such as transnational corporations, joint ventures with foreign participation or directly in foreign enterprises.

Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants have the same conditions as applicants from the Slovak Republic, however, they must complete a language and training course in order to meet the requirements of the study program in the Slovak language (except for applicants from the Czech Republic and applicants for the Faculty of Applied Languages). Applicants who have been granted a certificate of a Slovak living abroad under a special regulation are considered a Slovak citizen. When admitting foreign applicants, the PHF EU in Košice also accepts the completion of the Language and Training Course of the Department of Information and Language Communication of the PHF EU in Košice or the Faculty of FAJ EU Bratislava.



Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Od povinnosti vykonať prijímaciu skúšku sú oslobodení:

a) uchádzači o štúdium na PHF EU v Košiciach, ktorí sa v akademickom roku 2020/2021 zúčastnili na celoslovenskom kole odbornej, resp. ekonomicky zameranej súťaže, organizovanej s celoslovenskou pôsobnosťou pre študentov stredných škôl: Ekonomická olympiáda, Olympiáda mladý účtovník a Matematická olympiáda, konaných do 30. 04. 2021;

b) uchádzači o štúdium na PHF EU v Košiciach, ak absolvovali celoslovenské kolo v rámci celoslovenskej súťaže Olympiáda podnikový hospodár pre stredoškolských študentov organizovanú PHF EU v Košiciach, konanej do 30. 04. 2021;

c) uchádzači o štúdium na PHF EU v Košiciach, ktorí absolvujú test Všeobecných študijných predpokladov (alebo jeho českú verziu Obecné studijní předpoklady) a zároveň aj test z cudzieho jazyka, ktoré možno absolvovať v rámci Národných porovnávacích skúšok (NPS) zabezpečovaných spoločnosťou Scio v akademickom roku 2020/2021. Na štúdium budú prijatí uchádzači, ktorých percentil z každého testu bude rovný alebo vyšší ako 60. Testy v rámci Národných porovnávacích skúšok možno absolvovať v priebehu akademického roka 2020/2021 v niekoľkých mestách na Slovensku, v Čechách a na Ukrajine. Testy je možné absolvovať viackrát, uchádzačom sa započíta vždy najlepší dosiahnutý výsledok testu. Test musí uchádzač vykonať najneskôr do 30. 04. 2021.

Notice:

The University of Economics in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as EU) accepts such an electronic enrolment form only which will be created in the Academic Information System (AiS2) of EU in Bratislava, not in the academic web portal (www.portalvs.sk) and pay the fee of €32 (without the claim to a reduced fee).

The electronic enrolment form, and the instructions how to fill it in will be published on the following website:

The fee for the admission procedures must be settled solely by the bank transfer (not by cheque). The transfer order to settle the payment in the bank is not a proof of payment for the entrance examination. The account statement, or a receipt that the payment is settled by internet banking can be acknowledged.
