Prospects of graduates

Graduates from the Master study of astronomy and astrophysics have no problem working in the field itself thanks to the wide range of opportunities in Slovakia or applying the acquired education in related fields of physical focus. In the field itself, the possibilities for work include especially basic research mainly at the Astronomy Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, staff of which includes mainly our graduates as well as in international observatories and scientific institutes. Graduates also find employment in a network of observatories and planetariums in Slovakia, at universities and educational institutions. Sufficiently broad knowledge acquired by the graduate of this field enable them to find work also in other related areas such as in the banking sector and computer centers.
