Aplikovaná analytická chémia

Students of the professionally oriented study programme Applied Analytical Chemistry have the following theoretical knowledge, practical abilities and skills at the time of graduation:

- have adequate theoretical knowledge, especially in analytical chemistry and other basic chemical disciplines of inorganic, organic, medicinal, nuclear chemistry and biochemistry,

- have adequate theoretical knowledge of analytical chemistry and other basic chemical disciplines of inorganic, organic, medicinal, nuclear and biochemistry,

- acquire theoretical and practical knowledge integrating knowledge from chemistry, biology, pharmacy and medicine, which they will test during their professional practice,

- master laboratory techniques and basic laboratory methodologies in analytical chemistry, acquire the knowledge and skills required for successful integration into the work process in the conditions of the cooperating organisation in which the internship is carried out

- know the principles of good laboratory practice as a necessary requirement for working in an analytical laboratory,

- during their professional practice they learn working procedures typical for the given field of study, through specific tasks they acquire knowledge, skills and competences relevant for the performance of their future profession,

- learn about the chemical aspects of phenomena that are the subject of study in other natural, environmental, medical and technological sciences,

Prospects of graduates

The graduates of the professionally oriented study programme Applied Analytical Chemistry have adequate theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical, general, inorganic, organic, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry, as well as mathematics, physics, biology and computing. They are able to carry out technical work independently in chemical, environmental, pharmaceutical as well as medical facilities. Thanks to the professionally oriented study programme, industry will obtain the necessary, practically proficient graduates who are familiar with the functioning of real employers, their requirements for knowledge, skills and the principles of professional ethics. Graduates will also be able to acquire, process and present scientific information.

Graduates of the Chemistry programme have the following prerequisites:

- find employment primarily in collaborating organizations where professional practice has been carried out, as the skilled employees they need to carry out their work in the laboratory,

- to be employed in various chemical, pharmaceutical, medical, environmental research and operational facilities and to perform more demanding work of a technical nature, working with instrumental analytical techniques,

Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission to the bachelor's study is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education (Section 56 (1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts).

The admission procedure takes place without an entrance examination

For the admission of an applicant to the Bachelor's degree programme, the data on the applicant's course of studies at secondary school will be indicative.

In determining the score, the following shall be taken into account at the same time:

- the academic average at the secondary school without the matriculation examination,

- the result of the school leaving examination.

Students who have completed their studies at foreign universities, foreign students, shall submit nostrified documents on their completed studies within the meaning of Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of documents on education and on the recognition of professional qualifications and on the amendment and supplementation of certain acts.



Additional information

The application form must include:

- resume,

- proof of payment of the admission fee,

- Secondary school certificates for 1st-4th year officially certified (registrar/notary)

- graduation certificate officially certified (registrar/notary)

A candidate graduating in the 2021/2022 school year shall list grades on the application form

from the end-of-year report cards for grades 1-3 (in the case of a five-year course of study, he/she shall

grades for years 2 - 4) and have them confirmed by the secondary school on the application form, or to

submits officially certified (by the registry office/notary) copies of the above-mentioned certificates to the application form.

4th year (5th year) certificate and matriculation certificate officially certified

(by the registry office/notary public) shall be delivered by the applicant to the faculty no later than June 10, 2022.

The applicant is obliged to print out the completed electronic application form, sign it and send it together with the required documents to the Faculty of the Faculty of the Faculty of Physical Education of the UCM in Trnava, Nám. J. Herdu 2, 917 01 Trnava

Admission conditions for foreign students are the same as for students from Slovakia, good knowledge of Slovak is required.
